Can anyone explain ? How does this guy get a start, for me he brings 0 to the squad .
Am I missing something . Lennon has his blinkers on with this player that’s for sure .

He is in because of injuries obviously…….
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

He`s a central midfielder. Two of our starting CMs are injured. It`s a no brainer to play him.

Otoo might`ve got the nod over Boothe for me. Said in the other thread that Otoo seems to be about 5th choice CM now, behind Gilmour, Amade, Hamilton & even Boothe

I think we`re being harsh, maybe Lennon is improving the guy?

It was a shame TOB got himself booked, because I think that`s been one of his best games so far. Much stronger in possession. He`s played a few passes forwards and even beat his man at one point.

He’s been ok first half but the early booking and another foul just after it - I think it’d be a risk keeping him on

He is always in space... The problem is, even when we dont have the ball he is still in space and seems completely oblivious to the opposing midfield running by him

Folk seem to remember his poor performances only, this season he played well at hearts, away to Morton, home to airdrie and played well again today.
It’s a new season, get off his back and give him some support.

Well said JnrB, he was excellent today also, really assured too, hard to pick a motm, but wouldn`t grumble if he got it today.
Both him and Matty Todd was really pleased that they played so well.

Substitute Chalmers with OB. Haters. Absolute tosh for both. Always a moaner on here who couldn’t kick a can in their own back garden. And if they did they would break a toe and blame the can.

I thought Tash played well alongside Chris. We pressed Airdrie and didn`t give them a chance to play. A really solid team performance again all around. We could have had another couple in the end

Great performance from the guy , got booked early , played the rest of the game with that hanging over him with a ropey ref. Did the easy things well and managed the game .

He surprised me tonight by how good he was to be fair.

Waiting on the OP to come back on and hold his hand up for getting it so wrong. Will he, won`t he? 🤔

Should we really be surprised that NL believes that TOB is potentially a decent player? After all, he played under Steve Cooper in the England u17 team that won the World Cup in 2017 alongside Foden, Gibbs-White, Guéhi, Hudson-Odoi etc with Conor Gallagher, Angel Gomes and Emile Smith-Rowe on the bench. Lenny himself made his Man City début at 16 yet at 24 was still playing in the third tier with Crewe Alex. NL must have seen something in him that has convinced him that TOB could be a similar late developer given time and with the right management.
