I remember seeing Motherwell play Llanelli in a European match (at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie), and being amazed by the length of the throw-ins by the Llanelli fullback, Andy Legg. Are we allowed to score from a throw in? 😂 sorry couldn’t help myself.
I suspect that if we had a long throw specialist now then things could well be different as we mix balls into the box regularly now and the opposition don’t know what is coming. Previously we may have been too predictable.
