Dearie me. I`d extrapolate from that interview that he thinks he should be the first name on the team sheet, regardless of how well or poorly he plays. If he has "no relationship " with Arne Slot, why not ask to see him and sort it out privately?
No sympathy for Liverpool either. Karma after the way they tapped up Isak.
Not your average Sunday League player.

He is acting like a spoiled brat, I agree. Not sure about the Karma bit. Tapping up goes on at all clubs. Isak didn’t exactly pour cold water on the fire. More like petroleum.

According to the interview, Salah did meet with Slot on Friday. Mo obviously didn’t like what he heard. Interview seemed calculated to engineer a move if Salah is going to be left on the bench. Sure, Salah has an ego and thinks he should be playing, but Slot strikes me as obstinate, even before the Reds seemingly have lost their way.

There`s a single line in that interview which is the crux of it for me.
"I don`t have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it"
Sorry, off you pop Mo. Needs an immediate mindset shift and apology to his teammates or there`s no way back.

Aside from the Saudi`s you would imagine nobody would be going anywhere near that given his age and what he has left on what will already be a very lucrative contract.

Absolutely. It’s the line that stood out for me.
The Saudis will come in and Liverpool will let him go.

Astonishing comment when I read his piece. Looks like the end for Mo at Liverpool, what a sad way to end after such a terrific career there.

I would cut the guy a bit of slack. There`s some indication that he`s spouting forth in the heat of the moment. Somebody should have sat down with him and got him to cool down. All these years of adulation would go to most people`s heads and he`s just a fallible human being like the rest of us. It looks like he needs to do a bit of growing up and consider his team mates are just as worthy of a starting place as himself. If he did that his reputation and legacy would be enhanced. As it is, his response seems petty and self centred. I`m sure if he has time and space to think it over, he`ll recognise the folly of his comments. It doesn`t nullify his considerable achievents as a player but does put a question mark over his current mindset regarding himself and his team mates.

At the end of the day, it’s his own doing. He has been absolutely hopeless this season, and it shows.
No whether or not theres things going on the background (aka hard time with Jota passing etc.) that seems to be affecting a large part of the squad. But Salahs ego has got the better of him now.
His time at Liverpool is over now. No coming back from that and its akin to Isak at Newcastle. Saudis will come in Jan for him now. It’s a shame though.

The guy has a big ego. It wasn`t heat of the moment stuff, he rarely does interviews, he chose and planned to come out and spout that rubbish.

It was all pre-mediated. The last time he was on whinging about his contract. How many goals has he scored since he signed it?
He’s only interested in Mo Salah.

Salah should be watching his teammates tonight fighting for a win in Milan and having regrets about his childish outburst.
The team is always bigger than the individuals.

I am watching his team mates and can`t understand the pundits view that a defender pulling a forwards shirt in the box to stop him getting to the ball is not a penalty. Why is it now generally accepted now that pulling an opponents shirt is a ligitimate part of the game?
