He`s miles more corrupt than Blatter. It`s not even close.

Blatter was old school behind closed doors corrupt. A bit shady.

Infantino has learned from Trump...much easier to be corrupt if you`re brazen about it.

If it was a choice between Blatter and Infantino it`s Blatter in a heartbeat.

Dreadful man - his sycophancy towards Donald Trump and his wooden delivery was cringeworthy. He is just interested in FIFA making as much money as possible. Tiny% of tickets were avaialble at cheaper prices and there is nothing stopping touts reselling tickets at vast mark-ups on thier face value with FIFA even taking a big cut of the resale prices.

I was really embarrassed watching that sh1tshow tonight.
It was unprofessional for starters.
Infantino without the ‘ino’ sums him up.

Actually, the Italian suffix "ino" usually means "small" ... so it`s maybe very appropriate. What a disgraceful event that was. Shame on them all, especially that dork and his orange master. Corrupt and cringe making, especially the "Peace Prize". Andrea Bocelli was pretty good then the thing hit the skids immediately. Hope the tournament is less crap.

Aye that was terrible TV 😂

I missed the peace prize bit but holy F what a lot of p15h.

All they had to do was draw the groups. I get why they’d want a footballer/media personality overseeing it but Rio Ferdinand was in that lassies way. She was alright, he was terrible.

Get Kevin Hart in the bin. He’s no funny. Would be funnier watching him trying to get out a bin rather than his “comedy”

Overall the draw has some really interesting groups but I’m hoping they don’t Americanise this too much.

Here is the FIFA press release about the FIFA Peace Prizehttps://inside.fifa.com/organisation/media-releases/peace-prize-award-football-unites-the-world-infantino

No statements like:
Following consultations with member associations...
Having received nominations from member associations...
After careful consideration from the FIFA Peace Prize committee comprising...

If I represented a member association, I would be furious, and be calling for the removal of the FIFA President.

The FIFA President would be well to note that there is no peace in Gaza and the West Bank.

Couldn’t agree more. The MAGA crowd and trump appear to have ignored the fact that the Nobel prize committee only considered activity up to January 2025 for this year’s prizes; before Trumpy boy took office. But, what the heck, never let the truth get in the way of a good rant on Truth Social.

There`s a single line in that interview which is the crux of it for me.

"I don`t have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it"

Sorry, off you pop Mo. Needs an immediate mindset shift and apology to his teammates or there`s no way back.

He’s a clown no doubt but I don’t know how you put him up there with a bunch of people who intentionally murdered 150millionish between them.

a bunch of people who intentionally murdered 150millionish between them.

We didn`t know about the full horror with any of them until after the fact.

Also, do you really think that Stalin or Mao intentionally starved their own people? Or do you think that in each case it`s more likely to be the fairly obvious (in hindsight) consequence of the bloody-minded policies of a self-serving narcissist being egged-on by yes-men?

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

Jeezo 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, Stalin and Mao knew millions were dying through starvation. They both manufactured and maintained the conditions for the starvation. Well known and researched and nothing controversial.

Why did you change Pot to Mao? Did you think it would be better without realising he’s got the biggest kill numbers?

So we are definitely counting the harm done by political decisions which are not directly intended to kill but inevitably will?

That`s good to know for when Trump fanboys try to defend him after the horrors emerge. Maybe they could read up on the Stalinists` "politically neccesary" excuses?

Why did you change Pot to Mao? Did you think it would be better without realising he’s got the biggest kill numbers?

Yeah, my error. tbh I assumed it was Mao because it usually is with those sorts of arguments/comparisons and my memory isn`t the best these days.

PS - I wonder if Pol Pot "double tapped" his victims?

Or if Joseph Stalin learned about managed famines from British India?

There’s not many Trump fan boys but there are loads of people with Trump derangement syndrome for some reason. Probably spend too much time watching American news networks.

Paul Pot was infamous for beating, whipping, pulling finger and toe nails, forced ingestion of human waste, removing organs including liver, kidneys and genitals without anaesthetic (was also known for these to be consumed in front of the victims), suspending people from their wrists until their shoulders dislocated.
Executions were generally by slitting throats but there was also the Choeung Ek - better known as “the killing fields”. He killed en mass by striking the back of the neck. Victims included women and children - including babies. Also documented was babies being murdered by them being thrown against trees. Of course there is also documentation to show people being buried alive, disembowelment and hanging. All this before we also start talking about starvation. He also took control of the farm yards.

Stalin was forcing collectivisation. I’m sure already know this as Stalin is taught more here but you could look up the Holodomor, the great terror and the gulags. Estimates range from 15-50million deaths so 🤷🏻‍♂️ you can make your own mind up.

Double tapped drug dealers on a boat isn’t great, it’s been a policy of theirs since it was introduced by Barack Obama. At least under DT they are striking drug dealers, Obama had a penchant for double tapping funerals.

I don’t get what you’re saying about the famines in British India? Everyone knows they’re a stain on the British empire and you’d be crazy to think otherwise but what’s that got to do with Donald Trump?

Again, he looks like a clown, he does a stupid wee dance and thinks it’s all about him but he’s definitely not in the same category as Hitler and co.
