I think for a few of them they are looking jaded and quite a few out of form. Both the Tod’s and Macleod in particular but it’s thier first full season at anywhere like this level.
Caceres looks like he’s struggling to make any impact these days and suddenly we’ve a lack of attacking creativity again.
And as I speak queens score.

Doesn’t help not having Lennon at the game to give the team a rocket.
Memories of last season coming back, players going through the motions again today.
Hopefully there’s some budget to get some players in, in January. We need more experienced players to bring some consistency to this team. We look like world beaters or panel beaters and very little in between.

Everytime we get a chance to get into top 4 they bottle it and look as though they have only met on the park for the first time
Like others i`m not happy where has the creativity has gone also
where has the shots at goal gone?
And At present getting beat with another header !
We need to get the finger Oot and get the win ,never mind a draw but we need to have attempts at goal to do that , just now we are absolutley brutal

Hopefully his team mates can take some encouragement from that and take the game to QP. But our Berkey doesn`t miss a trick to start the old negative sentiments of let`s get more players in. We did that several times, it hasn`t worked. He was right in the vanguard of the McPake out brigade. I would have McPake any time, he played brillant last night.

Dropping too many points at the moment. Can`t really be drawing with QP if you want to push for top 4.
Subs certainly made a difference, maybe QP tired too. Poor conditions for football, but some of the Pars passing was dire, especially first half. Fussy ref who blew for any minor touch and refused to allow quick free kicks etc.
Good to have Rudden back. Tod looked better with Rudden on the park.

At least we got the potential "three losses in a row" monkey off our back. Very happy to see Rudden return to the side. We looked so much better after the triple substitution. At the final whistle, there was a sense we could have stolen that.

I`d have been reluctant to settle for a draw before the game, but given the conditions, that we were behind for much of the game and had several players not at their best, I`m pretty pleased with a point.

I don`t think the hierarchy at the club are going for top 4, keep yir nick nacks on.
At the start of the season Lenny was talking mid table and a big push next season.
Just because we`ve racked up decent points thus far, I`m sure they are looking at anything above 6 is a fantastic bonus.

I had no issue with Berkey`s comment about the team missing NL`s influence but thought it odd that his first comment on the match (15:40) criticised three players who weren`t even on the park - J Tod, Macleod and Carceres! I know some of you think the guy is beyond criticism but he only seems to come on here when things aren`t going so well. He`s like a vulture looking for a carcass.
Last season`s scapegoat has now established himself in a League 2 team in England and is no doubt crying all the way to the bank after Berkey inferred he`d be looking for a part-time club this season.

He has a point that it is their 1st season getting a fair amount of 1st team football in a difficult league.

Sorry, but I don`t see the point in criticising players who aren`t on the park in a match thread. It gives the impression of just dying to have a pop at certain players. I don`t understand why a supporter would do that. Why not start a separate thread like `half-term report` seeing as we`re now halfway through the season?

No point in Docherty getting punted, the squad is mainly McGregors fault for demanding instant return to Prem and throwing money at huddys.

IB`s post-match media interview -
Conditions turned out to be a lot worse than they had anticipated.
He said JCM was off for about 15 mins (!)* getting medical attention and could have been allowed back on a lot sooner (I didn`t see that being mentioned by anyone watching the game or in the BBC text commentary).
Complained about inconsistent refereeing but didn`t want to go into detail.
Happy with the contributions from the subs but agreed it wasn`t good enough to only really play well for the last half-hour.
ETA - * Report on COWS says JCM was off the park for 9 minutes getting a cut on his face treated.

Shame no bookies do the card market at this level; could print money on Gilmour and Hamilton almost every week!
Thought Cooper did really well when he came on, fair play to subs in general as they changed the game.

That`s Hammy`s 5th YC in 10 appearances. He`s got the worst % of those in the top 10 for bookings and it`s probably only his low number of appearances which has saved him from suspension. Gilmour now has 7 to carry forward into the second half of the season.

Not a disaster but we are inconsistent. When we are good we can compete with the best in this league. We need to lift our game on a more regular basis if we are to threaten the top four.

For sure this is a competitive league and any team can beat any other. Ultimately you have to separate that out from performances. I thought like last week we were second to the ball and out fought in midfield. You can only play as well as the other team let`s you and I think that over the last two weeks we have suffered from that. We have sunk back into only playing well in phases of the game. In the long term that won`t get us the results we need. We are not there in terms of consistency and dont yet have the ability to dominate teams for most of the game. I think with a fair wind we can get a top four spot, but need to perform and pressure teams for longer in the game.

Frustrating result, given how queen`s park have been this year. But on the day, don`t think you can be that unhappy with a point after the performance and how the game unfolded.
Just need to get back to some of the performances we saw earlier in the season, not sure if it`s a knock in confidence or a bit of fatigue creeping in but definitely think the overall style has slipped a bit. Hopefully getting the likes of Cooper and Rudden back will help us. As much as anything being able to rotate in those positions should help.

Painful to watch. We don’t have a clue what to do in attacking positions, zero movement.
The constant passing around the back is a hard watch. Billy>Nuradeen>Mullen then a miss placed pass into midfield must’ve happened 50 times.
Billy’s double save was brilliant, him, Gilmour n Fraser about the only players with pass marks.
Amade, Bray, Tod and Barney looked absolutely lost today.
Conditions definitely played a part, so take a point and move on but we need to improve.

All my issues over the last few seasons have been resolved, we’ve moved on from trying the same things that haven’t worked for years.
I wasn’t even that negative, who can argue that some of the youngsters look jaded and haven’t been at it for a few games now and that unless we rest them we’ll likely continue to struggle.
Problem is the happy clappers who would be happy going again with last seasons squad confuse objectivity with negativity.

Our record after 18 games this season is quite a bit better than last season at the same stage (and we avoided a league cup start than we did last year) so there is progress there, particularly with all the changes that have happened.
Still quite a few frustrating aspects to address though. But Rome wasnt built in a day. And let`s not make perfection the enemy of good.
I`m not a Happy Clapper, Private Frazer. As satisfying as some folk feel to bump their gums about how rubbish everything is, it does actually tend to make more positive change happen if you celebrate the small wins along the way.

Most seasons you would hope we`d beat a part-time/hybrid team like Arbroath so I see what Burty is saying.
This season though they are a solid experienced side with a couple of very good loans coming in in Findlay Marshall, Taylor Steven and the giant at the back Brooklyn Kabongolo.
They gave a good blend and I`d say they are a side better suited to being consistent and successful in the Scottish championship than we are right now.
Like most championship teams though they are only an injury or two (or a loan ending) in key positions away from slipping down.

I struggle to understand why Kane gets so little time on the pitch - I know his fitness is an issue but in my opinion he’s far and away our best forward. Against Arbroath he was taken off fairly early when he still looked full of running (I’d have taken Tod off and given Barney a shot alongside Kane) and several games he hasn’t featured at all despite being on the bench. Seems strange when we struggle to score goals.

Allow me to clarify. No Pars fan can possibly be happy when our team performs poorly and loses games they could be reasonably expected to win. Some fans are prepared to overlook a poor performance if we win the match. It`s not dishonest to keep any frustration or disappointment to yourself any more than it is to post it on a public forum. Personally, I have no problem making a general comment about a performance or to say that several of our players were below their best, but there`s no way I`m going to slag individual players with terms like "wage thief" or "waste of a jersey" as I really don`t see the point. I wouldn`t even use such terms to describe players of other clubs.
My main objection to Berkey`s post is his use of the insulting term "happy clappers" to describe fellow fans who refrain from criticising or scapegoating certain players. The implication is that these fans are intellectually challenged, like performing seals. My view is that they display commendable restraint by maintaining a dignified silence.

As I explained further up, Dave, I don`t take umbrage personally, as I am intelligent enough to know the term "happy clapper" doesn`t apply to me. It is certainly intended as an insult in the context it is used on this forum. The implication is that such people are of very low IQ and will happily clap at anything.

I view it that it is people who wear such thick black and white tinted specs that they cant, objectively, discuss every aspect of the club, wether positively or negatively.
Id say it’s more an opinion on a posters viewpoints, rather than an insult.
To add context, there are also posters on here who are “Doom mongers” that cant view anything the club does in a positive light.
But again my view would be that if somebody takes offence to those terms, and feel like its insulting, then they should maybe take a break from the forums and look at the world outside of it.

If you take umbrage at being called a Happy Clapper on a football forum, then you should maybe turn off the PC/app for a while and go enjoy life.
Christ theres a whole world out there where these things are hugely trivial.
As I explained further up, Dave, I don`t take umbrage personally, as I am intelligent enough to know the term "happy clapper" doesn`t apply to me. It is certainly intended as an insult in the context it is used on this forum. The implication is that such people are of very low IQ and will happily clap at anything.
Perhaps you view the term differently? If so, I`d be interested to hear it. 🙂
Strange thing is when you’re actually at Eadt End going back decades, you never see the so called happy clappers.
Pars fans at home have traditionally been a bunch of moaning hoors.

And who gets to decide on who is in what category. Ask everyone and they will tell you they are one of the ones who are simply being objective. Too many posters look for evidence to back up their personal view. As an example, Berkey is capable of making good points, but will only make posts which support his negative opinion of a player/team/match/manager or whatever. If he was being objective he would also make positive posts when deserved. He doesn’t which is why he gets a bit of flack. Same goes the other way, would be nice to have all posters try and be more objective as would make for a better forum.

To Whom It Concerns
Whether you want to describe other `posters viewpoints` as those of `Happy Clappers` or `Doom Mongers,` you`re stepping into different territory altogether when you `suggest` that, because they feel insulted by such labels, `they should maybe take a break from the forums and look at the world outside`
I think that`s called a condescending attitude.
i.e. dismissing their opinions or feelings as less valid.
From `the outside world:`
before you go telling others to be more tolerant, maybe you could attend to the blind eye and deaf ear you turn to your own intolerance?
