Listened to the commentary and it seems like Celtic have become very predictable, particularly in defence.

The whole point of the SPL when it was founded was to increase Scotland`s chances of qualifying for major competitions & bring about more competion in the league. Complete & utter failure. Only Rangers & Celtic have won the SPL or whatever you want to call it since its inception and it has taken over 25 years since the SPL for Scotland to qualify for major tournaments, well done Steve Clarke.
The SFA want competitive old firm rivalry nothing more or less. No other teams matter..Those games are the box office, despite similar sized countries leagues gettin way more lucrative deals that we do. Why ? Because the SFA only sell the Scottish game on the "old firm" games. A huge disservie to the other teams n the league.
Even the owners of Celtic want this (if not why didn`t they bury Sevco joinging the league when they had the chance ?) .
Like St Mirren, enjoy your rare victories when you get them. The powers that be want them kept to a minimum.

Lawell`s departure was the lead item on Reporting Scotland last night along with interviews with fans who were delighted at the news.
I thought the funny, feelgood stories were meant to come at the end of a bulletin, not the start?
And then of course, there was last night`s result!
My sides are only just recovering from the Russell Martin affair.

If Celtic lose to Aberdeen on Sunday, it would hardly be a major shock on current form, Nancy will surely be sacked.
It was rumoured that Martin O’Neill was open to staying until the end of the season, so there might be a good chance that he`d be prepared to come back and steady the ship,a second time.
Now, if can Hearts can beat Rangers on Sunday, their title challenge would be back on. 😁

Martin O’Neill said he wasn’t fussed either way - if he was asked to stay he would, if he was asked to leave he would.
Headline writers have 100% put his comments into their own wee spin by putting one little snippet of a 20 minute discussion with White and Jordan in a different light.
What happens if Lawall leaves in 2 weeks and Hearts still win the league? Then who do their entitled fans blame?

Before we judge them too harshly, I think we should pause and reflect on how tough a time this must be for Celtic fans after (checks notes) losing three matches in a row. Oh what depths of despair. At least they have (checks notes again) thirty-six domestic trophies in the last 20 years as crumbs of comfort to cling onto in such troubling waters. When we light our Christmas candles over the next week we should light another one, just for them. Forever in our hearts.

I have to agree. The league restructuring designed to increase revenue for bigger clubs and make the more competitive in European competitions as been a complete failure. The unintended consequence of this has been a year on year decline in performances and crowds as a result. It`s a vicious circle at the end of the da and we have ended up with a poor standard of football in Scotland with little opportunity for the mid sized clubs to develop and improve. This includes the ability to provide a breeding ground for younger home grown talent. The demise of the game in Scotland is a self-fulfilling prophecy based on the mistakes of the past. Playing teams 4 times a season, watching competitive but not exciting football, the perceived challenge and lack of opportunity around promotion and the yo yo up and down that mid sized clubs face make the current league structure a mockery in my view. Who wants to go and watch a team who, by December, are fighting relegation, or may make the playoffs but likely lose to a team in the league above. It`s turgid for pretty much every club in Scotland other than rangers or celtic. Yesterday`s solutions are today`s problems, and it is those past decisions to favour the few that are now coming back to bite them.

A lot to agree with, India Par1.
Remember, the SFA are made up of club representatives, who for years have voted against change to a bigger league. Why? They still see the 4 home games per season against the Old Firm defines their season financially and they don’t want that to drop to 2.

1st half Celtic played really well and should have been out of sight with a half decent striker, kenny is awful. Maeda miss in 2nd half was one of those, had to see it to believe it. It has signs of season lennon was there when it went toxic, reports that employees of celtic assaulted on Sunday after final. have to feel for the manager, the players seem to be taking little to no responsibility, cant believe how bad celtic have been this season, other than feyernoord game

Think this is an important point. Many say it is the SPFL who decide the league formats. They might propose them, but they can be changed by having enough club owners to vote for a bigger league.
Ideally a 14 team league playing each other three times a season with perhaps extra playoffs for European and relegation places.

I get all the fan unrest. Every club experiences this. It’s all relative though.
We had it earlier with Rangers fans hounding out Martin.
Liverpool fans wanted Slot out a few weeks ago.
Forest fans and players got rid of Ange in 8 games.
Palace binned De Boer after 4 games.
Spurs fans want Frank out already.
I’m sure if we were languishing in league one, some of our fans would be wanting change?
