 Cáceres interview

Link to an interview with Jefferson (with subtitles).

Seems a nice lad and proved a reminder for how quick his life has went from Peru to Dunfermline which must come with its challenges. Hopefully we start to see the best of him!🇾🇪

Excellent interview from Jefferson, and well done also to whoever was interviewing him. (I`m planning on using this video to improve my Spanish!)

Excellent interview and nice to see that he seems to be enjoying his time at the club and he’ll getting a lot of support from the dressing room and that Lennon see’s him as a key player.

As fans, we probably sometimes forget how out of their comfort zone some players are when they move to the club/area.

Anyone who has worked overseas in a foreign country without having a good grasp of the language knows how difficult it is. Good to see he is getting the support of his team mates and coaching staff.

He comes across well but it must be tough coping with a new language, different accents and a different environment. I`m sure he didn`t come to the UK thinking he`d be playing in the Scottish Championship and adjusting to it must be a bit of a culture shock.

He is easily the most technically-gifted player in the squad. You can see that in his first touch and the vision, timing and weighting of his passing. For whatever reason though, I don`t think we`re getting the best out of him. He should be filling the role Dylan Easton would have played if we`d managed to sign him, although he may not match him physically. He should be a more central figure in our play rather than the peripheral player he tends to be at the moment.

My Spanish is pretty good and I never miss an opportunity to use it. Spoke to him very briefly last night in Spanish. Lovely guy.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I think he is a really gifted player who might seem ineffective in games when we are backs to the wall a lot like Kozma was in that regard but shines when we are playing nice controlled football on the offensive.

That was a really nice interview, and gives us a wee insight.

You have to admire him, it`s a massive adjustment to come from Peru ( even the sacrifices he made there are huge) and he is here with his wife! So he is so motivated.

Nice that he is settling in, and does Charlie Gilmour speak Spanish? Or is he translating Scottish English!

I`ve lived and worked in Taiwan with an entire Chinese staff, and it`s tough, very tough, and I had a translator as well. Not only the language, but the culture you have to learn. This is very important. Another time I worked with mainly Italian, that was much easier.

These young men, you really wish all the luck, you know it means a lot, and it might not work out
