I`m pretty sure Colin Miller played for Canada in the 1996 CONCACAF Gold Cup while a Pars player, but there might have been someone more recently.

Sold Bamba went to the 2008 Olympics with Ivory Coast just before he signed with Hibs. Not sure it counts as a major tournament?

Amade is playing today, against Gabon. Currently 3-1 to Mozambique, it`s showing on the telly on a channel called 4seven, which honestly I`ve never even noticed on my tv guide before

Mozambique won 3-2. Amade played the full game although he was booked in the first half. They currently top the 3rd place rankings which gives them a chance of qualifying for the eighth-finals and more games!

In the two groups that have finished the third placed teams have two points. Mozambique have qualified for the knockout stage.
Edit: Even if they lose against Cameroon and Gabon beat Ivory Coast, they'll still be third on H2H whatever the goal differences are.

Having qualified for the last 16 Mozambique have rested quite a few of their players for their game against Cameroon tonight including Alfons Amade (who picked up a yellow card in their last match). They may think it is better to finish third rather than second (where they would have to play South Africa and if they win that hosts Morocco in the next game who are likely to beat Tanzania.)

Where is their match tonight being shown. I thought they were all available on Channel 4 or their group of channels but it`s Gabon v Ivory Coast on that, which has just had a goal from Kanga to put Gabon 1 nil up. A tap in from him, there was no way would Kanga rue missing from that range
Presumably if Mozambique go behind then Gabon could still progress, or is it all on head to head

I am watching it on SuperSport in South Africa RedStar and not sure about UK. Mozambique have just scored with a great shot from outside the box into the far corner to lead 1-0 after 25mins. Amazingly they briefly topped the group as already eliminated Gabon were leading Ivory Coast 1-0. Unfortunately it is now 1-1 after an own goal by Mozambique.

Gabonās government have announced the suspension of the national team, the sacking of the coach and kicked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang off the squad in the wake of three defeats at the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Gabonās Minister of Sports announced on television the suspension of the national team after they finished last in their group and were eliminated from the tournament in Morocco.
āGiven the Panthersā disgraceful performance at the Africa Cup of Nations, the government has decided to dissolve the coaching staff, suspend the national team until further notice, and exclude players Bruno Ecuele Manga and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang,ā said acting sports minister Simplice-Desire Mamboula after Wednesdayās 3-2 loss to the Ivory Coast in Marrakech.
Gabon, coached by former defender Thierry Mouyouma, had already been eliminated after losing their opening pair of Group F fixtures to Cameroon and Mozambique but in their final outing were 2-0 up over the defending champions before conceding three goals and going down to a second string Ivorian line-up.
Neither Aubameyang nor veteran defender Ecuele Manga played on Wednesday with Aubameyang having returned to his French cub Olympique de Marseille for treatment on a thigh injury.
The former African Footballer of the Year responded on social media, saying on X: "I think the team`s problems are much deeper than the individual I am.ā
