Looks like Diaz took cold feet and dinked the penalty to the goalkeeper. They should forget about extra time and go straight to the shoot-out.

Two wrong decisions leading to a complete and total farce. What a way to end a tournament that has actually been quite entertaining. I wonder if that ref will ever be seen again, and the Senegal coach taking his team of the pitch was shameful.

I don’t care what the result was! You cannot walk off the pitch. (We didn’t do it when Balde punched the ball in the final denying us a penalty ) By doing so the disrupted the game put pressure on the opposing players.Senegal should be stripped of title, and fined heavily.

That goal reminded me of J Tod’s against Airdrie….
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I would hope that Senegal get stripped of the Cup after their behaviour

I`ve caught some of the off field shenanigans, The Senegalese substitute keeper in trying to provide a towel for the selected keeper is harassed and chased by Moroccan ball-boys who are trying to rob him of the towel. It seems such a backward organisation.

Why should Senegal be stripped of the title?
A blind man could see that the refs in this tournamnet have been favouring the home team, and in the final we saw a perfectly good Senegal goal chalked off then immediately the home team was given a soft penalty.
We`ve spent years complaining about corruption in football, yet when someone stands up to it in any meaningful way they are suddenly the bad guys and demands are made for them to be stripped of their achievement.
The referee should be investigated but that won`t happen due to the fear that it would expose all the other corruption, and we`d likely see that AFCON couldn`t compete with UEFA or FIFA on that front.

The Morrocan`s really painted themselves in a bad light yesterday. Some of the various antics I`ve seen are pretty poor. Seem a right scummy lot.

The carry on with the keepers towel was unreal. How nobody stepped in from authority was mental.

On the bright side we get to build them
Up as the ‘baddies’ before we play them….and hopefully the fallout undermines their momentum (remember we had a strong streak before our ill advised selection of friendlies leading into the euros).

Far from an obvious penalty denied, time to let it go. Some referees would have ruled out Skerla’s goal that day.
