Sense of entitlement with some of our support is staggering.

You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

Although he spent the first half berating the players for passing back and misplacing passes.

I think with Neil Lennon is what you see is what you get. We didnt play well in the first half but I have to agree with him that booing is very negative and doesnt help. The problem is with that response it can become a self fulfilling prophecy. Matty Todd getting a bit of stick second half from a supporter wasnt helpful. I think despite your feeling at the tome you have to rise above it and get behind the team. I think NL was very honest last week, and in his assessment this week, that includes his comments on a small element of the support. Ironically everyone wants the same thing, success for the players and the club its how you go about achieving that. At the end of the day, we all have a role to play, the manager manages the team, the players play the game, the supporters support.

With NL coming in there is for sure a level of expectation. As a team, the general trajectory is continuous improvement. As NL said you have to reflect on what has been achieved at the club. Would anyone have thought 12 months ago we would be where we are.

I i thnk you have to look carefully at the reasons why our home results have been dissapointing. Its more complex than this player or that player. Teams set up to frustrate us, we seem to be more edgy at home, wrong decisions, not enough movement up front at times, individual errors, bad luck, injuries, other teams simply playing well etc. For me Its addressing the things that you can control that matters.

You pay your money so everyone at the game has the right to a view but its how you respond to what is happening on the pitch. You can make the same point by shouting encouragement I think rather than booing.

I think there is a large group of teams across the bottom end of the premiership down to mid table league 1 where anyone can beat anyone on their day. The league you are playing in is just a label.

Personally I think NL is hinting at confidence when he mentions the booing. It’s not a thing he wants to outright say as again it is an issue that other teams and fans exploit. I really think he’s working hard on that at the moment and trying to instill a confidence in their own abilities as a team an individuals like A.Tod.

I can’t understand why fans boo their own teams unless they are behind my an embarrassing amount at half time. It must be a nightmare to play in front of, knowing one mistake and the supposed supporters are on your back. I know it is just a relatively small number of fans but it’s enough to affect a player.

Lennon knows how to manage the players` confidence, he said that he`d told them at half time "softly" what he needed more of from them. I think the booing annoyed him because he knows it`s not what the players need.

I noticed that on the dafc interview, which is mostly for Pars fans, he mentioned a few things that need improvement, but on the BBC interview, which goes out to the world, he said he didn`t care about the performance, we`re in the next round and that`s all that matters.

I`ve been impressed by how he handles players and what he puts out through the media, it`s a young team & they need someone like Neil. We need to all get on board with him.

My own view is that it`s a bit arrogant to boo the team because they couldn`t break down Kelty in the first 45 mins. They came with a plan to let us have the ball and hit us on the break, but sitting deep they were always going to tire and open up later on, which is what happened. It`s a gamble smaller teams make against bigger teams because it can work, and part of what the smaller team hopes for is that the bigger team`s fans start getting on their backs.

Pars fans should know we have to be patient in these kind of games. In the end we strolled the 2nd half and got a comfortable 2-0 win.

Lennon hit the nail on the head when calling out some of the idiots to were booing at half time. As he said we don’t have a divine right to be winning every game at half time. Ok the performance wasn’t good at that point however it was still 0-0 with all to play for. What does that booing do to our young teams confidence? It certainly doesn’t help.
Said it before, we have a great fan base, but some of the punters that turn up would be as well staying at home with the negativity and trash they often talk - well done Lennon for calling them out.

Union Berlin fans apparently don`t boo.

Confidence and good morale is everything. You have to be confident in yourself first for others to be confident in you. As a team were are well capable of a top 4 finish in this league.

As someone who goes to watch a lot of football as a neutral, I’m not sure I agree with that Shelly, honestly. Yes we have a good number but I don’t think we are any worse than many other clubs of our size.

I don’t really care about other clubs, if we want to push on and create a winning culture, us fans need to play our part and be part of the solution

That’s fair enough…..but the point I was referring to compared us to other clubs and said we were worse

Lots of replays today, presumably courtesy of the BBC? It certainly looked like Tod got kicked in the penalty box in the first half.

Booing at a match is totally counterproductive. You want players to be creative and to try things that may not pan out. If they are booed, they will play conservatively, not wanting to make a mistake. That’s when you get turgid football.

I`d imagine most were booing the tactics/style rather doing it to have a go at players.

Listen tae Billy BigBawz calling folk snowflakes from behind a keyboard.

I`m no snowflake but I don`t get booing. If the team are playing below par they need encouragement surely.
