 Frank gone

Thomas Frank has been sacked by Tottenham after just under eight months in charge following their dismal 2-1 defeat at home against Newcastle on Tuesday.

Spurs are 16th in the Premier League and just five points above the relegation zone after a dreadful run of form.

The north London side are winless in their past eight Premier League games - their longest run without a victory since October 2008.

They have won just two of their past 17 league matches and picked up only 12 points in that time.

It was time.

Was at the Sunderland game and Spurs were terrible. Fans were asking back then that it was time for a change

If he had stayed at Brentford, he would have been 10 points better off, with a team punching well above their weight. There are still many teams where the success is much more to do with the attitude of the players than the skill of the manager.

The Spurs job seems to be a a poisoned chalice. Is Daniel Levy still calling the shots?

This from google wee eck :-

Key ownership details:

Majority Owner: ENIC Sports Inc. (approx. 87.62% as of October 2025).
Ultimate Controlling Party: The Lewis Family Trust.

Key Stakeholder: Daniel Levy and his family (hold a ~30% interest in ENIC).
Structure: The club is held through Tottenham Hotspur Limited (THL).

Status: The club stated in September 2025 that it is not for sale.

While Daniel Levy stepped down from his executive role in September 2025, he remains a key shareholder in the company that controls the club.

Can’t believe that he’s a poor manager based on his Brentford career. I suspect the culture at Spurs is rank rotten, time players took more responsibility for what’s happening. I’m sure Thomas Frank will be back in management very soon.

Cheers, Bpp. There`s an article about Frank`s sacking on the BBC Sport website and it notes -

`Former chairman Daniel Levy was a permanent lightning rod for the anger of Spurs fans. When he departed in September, it was welcomed by the majority but left Frank more in the firing line - and with a shield removed.`

The teams attitude is pretty poor. Big point to note is their forward, Richarlison (Brazilian International) was so poor and brushed aside by Sunderland`s defence. Hoping he keeps this current form in Miami

Vitor Pereira coming in.

Could Dyche fill in at spurs to the end of the season ? Wouldn’t be popular with fans, but they need to stay up.

Believe it or not Dyche’s win record is by far the best of the last 5 managers at ForestšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøhe’s not the most dynamic manager but I’m sure he’d have kept them up. I actually think this decision puts them in greater danger of the drop.

I wonder how much money the Premiership teams pay to managers contracts that will never be honoured in any one season and whether this has increased over the years.
I wonder if anyone has looked at the contracts offered versus honoured within any one year. Maybe that is better than working out the financial loss to clubs.
I wonder how much of a small countries GDP that is worth 😳

Dyche’s win ratio hugely helped by beating teams in Europe who are well below Premier standard. The atmosphere at Forest games has been toxic - the vast majority of their fans will be in agreement with the decision.

Quite frightening how much Dyche must have earned in the last year.

It’s chicken feed for EPL clubs when they are receiving Ā£200m revenue just for TV rights. Many other revenue streams to consider. Morinho is a past master of drawing a monthly wage whilst sat on his bottom .

Forest had 35 shots against Wolves .. 10 on target .. but sadly no goals .. that cannot be the managers fault surely .. I think Dyche would have kept them up

Interesting if true L A

However, the latest from Sky Sports reporter, Rob Dorsett, won’t be greeted warmly in the Carrick household.

He stated that Man Utd have no plans to accelerate the permanent appointment of Carrick despite the unbeaten run he’s overseen.

What’s more, the 44-year-old is ā€˜still not the favourite to be the next long-term boss at Old Trafford.’

A second report from The Manchester Evening News claims the man who is the favourite to take the reins in the summer is current England boss, Thomas Tuchel.

Igor Tudor has agreed a deal to become Tottenham interim head coach until the end of the season. Thomas Frank was sacked earlier this week, with Spurs five points above the relegation places. Sources told BBC Sport that Spurs wanted an interim manager in place for the players` return to training on Monday.

Tudor has been out of work since being sacked by Juventus in October 2025 following an eight-match winless run, leaving the club eighth in Serie A. The 47-year-old has had a varied managerial career, having had stints at Lazio, Marseille, Galatasaray and Udinese among others. He led hometown club Hajduk Split to the Croatian Cup in 2013 to win his only trophy as a manager.
