This season was always going to be a rebuild alot of people have got to realise how bad we have been in the previous seasons we are in a better place this season there going to be games that don`t go according to plan but it`s not because we are bad it`s just one of these things I would like to think we can all get behind the players and management work work through this season and be ready for a better season next year and keep building on what we have

But now its looking like it could be another season like the last one. We could very well end up in the relegation places again. That`s not improvement, no matter how much better we might be playing in the odd game here and there the results are still poor. I`m starting to think we`ll never ever get back into the premiership - New spendy board, new high profile manager, almost a whole new squad and yet...SAME OLD p*sh

Fed up of the same old “this is a season of rebuild” because the last years been garbage. About time we actually aimed high and tried to get into the Prem. Its embarrassing watching clubs like Livi and Hamilton having extended spells in the top flight with the difference in resources/income etc.

It’s a new spendy board but they aren’t spending the money on the right things.

This season is going to end up like the previous 2 seasons.
We’ll end up scrapping for points here and there hoping to avoid 9th IF this level of performance keeps up.

Don’t see how it’s funny shellypar.
Our next two home games are Queens Park and Ross Couny. Our home form is worse than our away form.
Lost our last 3 home league games to Arbroath, Ayr and Airdrie. We lose the next 2, which currently I think we will, then we’re only a couple of points off bottom.
This recent form is a real cause for concern.
This is just my opinion, if folk want to laugh it off and think well still be pushing for the top 4 then that’s up to them.

Neil Lennon has said the playoffs are the target, so anything short of that will be a failure.

If we don’t get top 4 then of course it’s failure considering the money we have spent! Anyone saying otherwise is deluded

The top 4 might have been the target, but 5th or 6th would not be a failure in my opinion.

Finishing 5th or 6th would be a failure to hit the target.

How do you know what players are signed via analytics? There are obvious ones but who knows how signings come about.
I would say JCM, Nuridean, Gilmour, Fraser, Terrell have all been a success. Others like Bray, Macleod can’t be judged yet as aren’t seen as 1st team ready signings.

Fine, so given how the last 3 seasons have gone, you`re fairly happy with recruitment , and how they`re performing on the field ?

Recruitment has been a lot better, so yes. But the real test is in the summer when Otoo, KRH, Mehmet and Kane move on.

Recruitment has been very hit and miss.
Still baffles me that 3 years later and Chris Kane is still our best striker and we haven’t addressed this issue.
We’ve struggled to score goals in the championship, even in league one we were hardly prolific, it needed fixed then and still needs fixed now.

If Kane, KRH and Mehmet are on the H-U-G-E wages some claim, maybe we can`t afford to replace them until they`re off the payroll. Some folk seem to think we have a bottomless pit of money at our disposal.

Let’s wait and see at the end of the season. No point in throwing your toys out the pram after a bad performance.
They have shown against Raith, Hibs and St Johnstone that on our day we are good enough.
A bit of patience is required.

They’ve had the opportunity in 3/4 windows to replace with better players that are deemed to be “previous board signings”. They’ve failed massively to do so, NL has played Bene, Matty Todd, Chris Hamilton, Deniz etc countless times before “his signings. Bray, Caseres, Amade, TOB, McLeod, C Young etc all signed under NL, Cook and Bord.
Why if the recruitment is now better does the need to field these players add up? The answer is the recruitment has been as bad and if not worse than before. Plenty good signings previously came though the club (Edwards, Nisbet etc)

For balance, the last three games have shown we’re no better than a bang average mid Championship side.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

It has been a Jekyll & Hyde season.
Our best feels to me better than our best from the last couple of seasons - Hibs, St J, Raith, Airdrie and Arbroath away - all real statement performances.
But our worst has been pretty abject. Some sound like they might have been at least as bad as our poorest performances under the previous two managers? I couldnt make Airdrie and Morton, so others will have a better idea.
What makes the lows even more frustrating is that we have seen how good we can be, have beaten a top 6 team from the league above and have been flirting with a playoff place. The bar has been set a bit higher.
A relegation scrap is never far away in this league though and it will feel like a real sucker punch if we end up spending the last 1/4 of the season mired in that. I`m hopeful we wont but we need to start turning the corner pronto.

We look much more threatening with Andrew Todd playing up front and having Chris Hamilton in the team.
He’s an honest local lad who despite the red card gives his all for our team.
We can’t do much now about our striking problems but it’s got so much worse since Morrison came into the team.
Either play him as a winger or forget him.
He’s not a striker.

Go four at the back on Saturday. Get Morrison and Bray on the wings a try something different. Things Lennon tried earlier in the season. 4 at the back when we beat Airdrie 4-0. Bray was very good on the right that night.
Now we just get the same formation and set-up and he whines about the players when I doesn`t work . Lennon needs a look at himself if he wants to impove things.

It’s like the days under mcpake all over again. We’re signing players but they don’t fit the formation we want to play. Morrison the latest one in the door who doesn’t work in a 532 but he’s still no signed a decent attacking midfielder.
The only difference between this season and last season has been that Andy Tod has banged a few in and so did Barney.
We’re still missing the key elements of a successful team. We appear to be missing character, resilience and fight. Add that to the already lack of quality in key areas and it’s causing us no end of problems. We’re still easily bullied and despite Lennon pointing it out in post match comments the same players are doing the same thing.
Couple of injuries and a few players form drops and it’s like an under 21 team against a team of pro’s.
Given we’re still relying on loans from down south who yet again look way off the level required, I’m not sure our recruitment under Lennon will improve all that much as it’s been more miss than hit.
Yes a few will leave in summer but Morrison will be on a good contract and if we continue with current set up that’s a waste of a wage.
