Seeing Arbroath folk fishing wi`nets is a braw sight tae see, but it`s no` as braw as it`d be tae see their goalie fishin` the baw oot his net a few times oan Seturday.

In this season of great unpredictability, we`re like the sea with its highs and lows, though not so regular. But there`s one thing we can be sure of - THE TIDE MUST TURN AT ARBROATH !

Hopefully we look at a better coach for the keepers.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

And keep a goalkeeper coach who doesn`t seem to be improving our keepers?

Mehmet is 33 years old so won’t be improving. He’s been rubbish since our League One campaign.
Terrell has potential, but isn’t ready to be number one.
Perhaps new keeper and keeper coach would be the best bet.

NL didn`t hold back with his criticism of our keepers in his post-match interview and he wasn`t just talking about today`s game.

Yet he gave one of them a new contract even though he says hes not been able to rely on any of them this season

Why give Terrell a new deal then and why not bring in another keeper?
Decision making and recruitment is ridiculous.

The keeper is there to stop the last goal opportunity…he has 10 players in front of him to stop the ball even entering his goalmouth…

Hoolie, if you’ve ever watched a game of football you will know the ball will enter each teams goalmouth multiple times each game. Goalies don’t usually concede the stupid goals ours do because the ball happens to be in the goalmouth. For example, there are many keepers in our division who have not punched the ball in their own net this season or goalies racing off their line when they are 2nd favourite to a very innocuous long ball. We conceded goals to both of those things today. In one game. I could go on and list other awful goals we have conceded this year due to keeper errors but honestly I think today epitomises it.

Terrell obviuosly shouts for the ball, our full back doesnt do enough to stop Dow getting by him , I dont think its a needed decision to come claim it.

You will be aware that it’s quite common for contracts to be extended if certain milestones are achieved?

I see the sense in giving Terrell a new deal.
But we need a better keeper in and keep him for the near future.
Lenny was just taking a chance on him and Mehmet whilst trying to save a bit of money. But it hasn`t worked out.
