It could be Falkirk, Rangers, Celtic. Partick Thistle or St Mirren. We’re on our way to Hampden. It’s been a few years since we’ve been there. Since 1968 was the last time we won the Scottish cup. Come on ye Pars. Why no? All we need to do is win 2 games and the cup is ours.

What happens if a team loses in the final against a team that qualifies for Europe through the league?
Does the European place go to the next highest league placed team rather than the defeated finalist?

Hopefully the two cheeks have a rammy - 3 red cards each and a pile of yellows, we get the victor’s reserve team in the semi - and hump the scum in the final.

Reality hitting home for me sitting here with a dilema, Scottish cup final place or play of final place.
If we get both that’s a hell of a playing schedule and one or the other would need rescheduling both Cup final and play off final due to be played the same weekend. Which would also put us at a disadvantage.
Personally I want both lol - not been many times to look forward to and I would love to see us knocking Rangers or Celtic out of the cup (more so Celtic as Lennon knows how O’Neil works and we will be massive underdogs again) before meeting Falkirk.
The league to me is more important but I so crave winning both.

If you’re looking for the most winnable tie I think you’re probably looking for winner of St Mirren/Partick but honestly-the winner of that game will be a more difficult tie than Aberdeen 🤷🏻♂️ after the 1st goal they were honking.

St Mirren or partick 100%. Falkirk will give either of the OF a very hard time in the other game, then get them in the final. What a day that would be.

How much have we earned in prize money by getting to the SF and aren`t the gate receipts for both ties pooled and split four ways? We`ve been missing out on `windfalls` like this for too long. This will have been part of Bord`s calculations in investing in the club.

We will receive £182,500 for reaching semis. The gate receipts are split at semi stage

If you lose in the semi you get an exit fee and TV fee. We`ll get around a quarter of a million quid for that. Plus a quarter of the gate receipts minus costs. I`d say you`re looking at half a million.
Double that if we reach the final

Anyone other than Celtic for me as well.
We’ve played excellent in the cup, not taking anything away from the team, fantastic, however we’ve been fortunate to play all our games at home and away at Hampden will be a different kettle of fish.
I’d rather have Celtic in the final or hope another team puts them out.
Ideally would like Partick, better the devil you know and all that.

I am one of those who believe Hampden should be for finals only and not used for semi finals as it dilutes the achievement of getting to a final. However I will happily be there to back the Pars but imagine the atmosphere of a Falkirk Dunfermline semi at Tynecastle or Easter Road !!

I think Falkirk is a hreat draw personally. Everyone will be up for it. Ot has the potential to be a grwat spectacle. St Mirren could have been tha bogey team, celtic would have been a tough ask. Falkirk on a big hrass pitch are beatable.

Aye, I agree with this and it’s my thinking as well. Imagine if this game was in one of the Edinburgh stadiums, as an example. It’s the way it is though, so we’ll make the most of it, but I do agree.
