Is that true??, we get 150k plus tv revenues plus our share of our match gate receipts, not sure we get revenues from the other match.
Any way sfa has to make a stand.

Both semi final gate receipts are put into one pot and shared 4 ways now.

Union Bears - the clowns that spray paint everything here with UB07 and red white and blue stripes……their previous leader is a well known gangland figure from Glasgow thats bolted to Dubai/Bahrain to avoid the police here.

Sectarian singing from both sets of fans loud and clear on tv. Rangers “fans” with masks on the pitch at the end.
Closed doors for the lot of them for a full season - and make the clubs make up the missing revenue to everyone they play.
Suspect the OP’s tongue firmly in cheek.

If that`s true, then ban celtic fans, and probably rangers fans. Fine celtic and rangers also fine them the value of missing fans receipts to make up the losses and share it amongst the other three.
Sadly religious bigotry and sectarian has contributed. But it`s also football hate. Sadly the hate exist in many clubs, ours included. Sadly the Scottish government does nothing and it continues. I Stand by what I said above, but we have to photo and ban, a few bans will reduce it hugely.

And ‘probably’ rangers fans???
What I saw was them in stupid, coordinated masks running the full length of the pitch to confront throw flares etc into the Celtic stand?
What makes that ok?

I really hope the SFA don`t take the stance of banning all fans of a club based on a minority who infringe the pitch. We`d be fooked.

But it’s not just the pitch invasion is it? It’s the vile sectarian singing from both sides, the clashes outside the stadium, the effect on already overstretched police and emergency services.
Wringing hands or blaming sides doesn’t do any more.

We had the result of the round, a game that will be remembered (among us) for years. Yet all the attention is on those two trying to reenact the battle of the boyne. Embarrassing to Scottish football.

Same old, same old.
It`ll never change - same when someone dares to beat them. It`s never about how well that team did - always just about how bad whichever of the bigot brothers involved was.

Are we not being hypocrites here, given our feud with Falkirk?
Is it time to recognise we are no better and take steps to sort our own house out.
Keep the rivalry but bury the vitriol.

Not even mildly similar scenes have been seen at either East End or TFS as those at Ibrox yesterday so yes I would say we are quite a big bit better than both sets of they supporters.

It honestly felt like the weekend showed the worst side of the Scottish game again.
Old Firm matches are always tense, everyone knows that, but yesterday looked like one of those situations where the warning signs were there and nothing was really done about them until it had already kicked off. A bigger away allocation for the first time and they play the full version of Simply the Best just to turn it into the usual sectarian nonsense that comes with these two. When that first lot of Rangers fans ran onto the pitch and were watched by police, it pretty much set the tone for the rest of the antics. That should’ve been the moment where things got tightened up, not something that was brushed off until more people followed.
From the clips going around online, the police response looked more reactive than proactive. By the time people were getting onto the pitch and then things started spilling out onto the streets of Glasgow afterwards, it was already out of control. When you leave that window open, the ones looking for trouble will take it every time.
At the same time though, it’s only fair to admit we’re not exactly in a great position to lecture anyone about fan behaviour. On Saturday all three goals had fans running onto the pitch (the first two especially were completely unnecessary). It wasn’t a last minute winner or anything like that although that doesn`t make it acceptable. Seeing stewards getting knocked over in the process just makes it worse, because that’s exactly the sort of thing that ends up with clubs getting fines, bans, or reduced allocations. It’s the wider support that ends up paying for it.
The whole “ultra” scene seems to be creeping back in as well. In theory it’s meant to be about atmosphere, banners, and organised support which pitch invasions aside the North West did that. But a lot of what we’re seeing now just looks like wee guys in balaclavas trying to act hard. It’s not even just a Glasgow thing either, you’re seeing similar scenes popping up all over the country.
The frustrating part is that the basic idea shouldn’t be difficult. The stands are for the fans. The pitch is for the players and the officials. It really should be as simple as that.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

I’d agree with a lot of your comments, Sacktheref69.
It’s hard to blame the police or the stewards. If they stopped the bams getting on the pitch, there might’ve been another Hillsborough situation. Damned if you do, etc.
What’s for sure is, everyone’s talking about the nonsense and sectarian singing (aye, and me and again), but it doesn’t spoil our result. I’m sure it’s the same for Falkirk and St Mirren fans. Also, allowing away fans was, on hindsight, a mistake.
I’d ban them from attending all their games home and away for a year, making both clubs pay back lost revenue to the clubs they play. That might just make both clubs take action - and might actually make those games a better atmosphere without their toxic songs and entitlement.
