There are several other names in the frame. Hopefully NL decides to stay and build on what he has already achieved at the club

They can be interested all they want. Going by this weeks interview, it doesn’t sound like Lennon is interested in going there.

Anywhere west of Kincardine is Babylon.
He wins us the cup, there will once again be a king who sit in Dunfermline toon.
The Dunfermline job is currently a more interesting one than the St. Mirren one I think.

Lenny is our man till he gets into the premier and one season more ... minimum
He has never had the certainty and closeness and backing of the board and owners than he has with us right now. He doesn`t have to prove to anyone his value. So he is a PAR for a few more years yet.

From BBC Scotland gossip -
Dunfermline Athletic head coach Neil Lennon is one of the candidates St Mirren have approached to be interviewed for their vacant manager`s job. (SportsBoom), external
Former Vancouver Whitecaps and Western Sydney head coach Carl Robinson, currently working for the Welsh FA in coach education, is one of the names in the frame to be St Mirren manager along with Derry City`s Tiernan Lynch and former Dundee boss Tony Docherty. (Scottish Sun)

I’ve heard they made an approach to speak to him, but it was laughed off. Why would he go to them? Surely that would be a step sideways at the moment.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

100% they have no more money or players not much better than top championship level and not many developing youngsters why would he start again saves team from relegation and build over 2 years…..
Doubt they could afford compensation anyway under contract for 2 years…. Never mind rest of his team assistant that would need to poach as well etc..

Yes,he needs our full support. There was always going to be bumps along the way, true fans ,take the rough with the smooth. Actually ,I am amazed,at how well we have progressed, who would have predicted we would be at hampden again? Remember,we are a club with limited financial funds.

I think NL let his thought be known in his post match comments yesterday. The squad is going to be thin on the ground for the final run in, so its going to take a big effort by everyone, and importantly the supporters. Whatever way you liok at it, and despite the end result in May, its been a pretty successful season. I think thats important to reflect on until the end of the season and rally around the team for the final push.

St Mirren are in advanced talks to appoint Carl Robinson as their new manager, the 49-year-old former Wales midfielder having had spells in charge of Vancouver Whitecaps, Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers. (Football Insider)

Underwhelming if true. His 2 teams did nothing down here in Oz, with no discernible style to speak of.
Maybe they just want to minimise the cost of a name-change!

What I like about NL is his passion for the game and to do well. That rubs off on everyone connected with the club I am sure. I also wouldnt dismiss the contribution from the coaching staff and others behind the scenes. I think the benchmark for me in terms of the coaching and managerial staff is how quickly they brought on Barney Sewart and Olly Thomas in a few short weeks.
I think that NL has been very transparent in his interviews and that has rubbed off on the players in theirs. Instead of deflection and rhetoric its honest reflection and taking responsibility. These are subtle but important changes that are very importamt for self improvement.
For the fans, what the management team have done for them is bring the most important 4 letter word in the English dictionary "hope".

Thankfully is Carl Robinson not Karl Robinson, scottish football has seen enough buffoons over the years and his rantings could give Derek Adams a run for his money

NL has told Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly that he loves his job but doesn`t want to be managing in the Championship for long. He thinks the squad could handle the Premiership but it`s unlikely we`ll go up this season. We could win the Cup though (from the Courier).
