The quality of our equalising goal on Saturday has been mentioned by a few posters as well as by NL with over 20 passes being made in the build-up, surely a sign of the growing patience amongst the players and confidence in possession. If you consider the recent improvement in performances and results it coincides with an improvement in the quality of the goals we have been scoring, namely those scored against Aberdeen, the Rovers and Ross County (twice). Gone are the days of hit-and-hope into the box looking for a break of the ball or an opponent`s mistake.
Incidentally, Andrew Tod is now out on his own as second-top goalscorer in Championship games with 12, just two behind Josh McPake. Robbie Fraser is now 4th equal for assists with 6 and Matty Todd is 7th equal with 5.

The equaliser was the type of goal that coaches/managers love. A tap in from 2 yards out after a well worked move.
It looked effortless in its construction & execution but every player must know their role, where they were meant to be - players running into channels - decoy runs pulling defenders away. Goals like that destroy an opposition.
Great to see...............
You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

It`s weird innit.
McPake has been winning plaudits all season long and has secured a move to title contenders.
Some folk on here think Tod is a haddie who`s lucky to be at the pars.
2 goals between them.
We`re very lucky to have Tod.

I had a look at McPake and he has only scored 1 goal since Christmas.
Incredible scoring run he had up until then though.
Tod could easily end the season top scorer.

McPake runs about like he`s Billy Big Baws, with Fotheringham on the opposite wing, they`re well matched!

Our second goal was indeed a thing of beauty.
Only criticism I have regarding goals is that our midfield don’t score many.
Gilmour, Amade, Hamilton have hardly a goal between them. With our injuries to forwards I am hoping we can get some goals from other areas.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I think Andy Todd has a very unusual football style. He has a football brain and very good timing. A bit lazy at times but that could be down to mental and physical tiredness as he has played alot of games. The acid test is that someone who is very good at something makes it look easy. He is one of those people. He will be destined for better things.

Definitely think Gilmour should be hitting more shots from distance….who could forget that lovely strike against East Fife in pre-season. Don’t think I have seen him do that since.

I would agree with that. He’s not the quickest, and his running style is different from most. I’m happy if we can get consistent goal returns like this season, though.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Surely we`re capable of telling the difference between someone who has a "different running style" and someone who is lazy?
