If we win on Saturday, we will have 43 points. That is the most points Ross County can achieve if they win all their remaining games, so would be safe to say we are not going down!

That`s the spirit 😉

Airdrie have a game in hand of Ross County so we could still be relegated via the play-offs!

Morton tough as always, they`ve picked up a bit too

Aaron Comrie scored for them! One of my favourite Pars players of the last decade or so

If you were to win one of those Jock what one would you pick would be the Scottish cup 100% of the time promotion can come in many forms but having at least 4 European ties next season couldn’t be beaten

Falkirk, St.Mirren and Celtic will have a different agenda on the cup.

Promotion also a big ask.

Maybe today’s date is appropriate ?

I disagree. We are probably a year too early to go up but in one off cup games, we can make history in the Scottish Cup.

I know we’d have to go through 4 round of qualifying for the europa league so would be big ask but having a little nosey at the breakdown of money pool you got £3.7 million for qualifying for the europa league phase this season. On the other hand you got £2.8 million for quality for the europa conference league phase.

The most current premiership prize pool break down I could find was the 23/24 season and 12th place in the premiership because thinking we still up would be a big ask got £1.7 million with £350,000 in parachute payments.

The only other question would be is if the higher attendances in the premiership would cover the gap in the amount of prize money compared to being in Europe but also I look at it in a view of I would love to be in Europe because I would travel to away games where as I know other people wouldn’t and want to be in the premiership to see the big teams play at east end park

I do think that of we were to win the Scottish cup and get into Europe tho and didn’t get promoted this year I don’t think it would happen next year seeing what happens to teams that get to Europe for the first time and the league form goes out the window but at the end of the day it is all what ifs so why can’t we win the Scottish cup and get promoted then next year win the Europa league and the premiership

Correct me if wrong, winning the Scottish Cup (or runners up if circumstances pan out) would give the Pars entry to the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League ?

What calibre of opposition would be likely ?

Cognisant of our two most recent uninspiring adventures in Europe !!!

So in recent years yes that was the case but Scotlands coefficient has taking a battering in recent years with Scottish teams struggling for wins so the places have been put down as follows

I am taking this from the bbc website so if it is wrong please correct me because I have now come across another website saying different

League champions go into the champions league qualifying second round

Runners up go into the conference league 2nd round qualifying

Scottish cup winners go into Europa league 1st round qualifying

3rd place also go into the conference league 2nd round qualifying

The best site to look at is [/https://kassies.net/uefa]

The shows the access list for 2026/27:

Champions - Champions League Champions path play-off
Runners up - Champions League, League path qualifying round 2
Cup winners - Europa League qualifying round 3 (if lose then go to Conference league playoff.
3rd and 4th in league - Conference league qualifying round 2

The following season Scotland has dropped down from 14th to 18th and so for the 2027/28 season the teams in Europe are as above post

Finishing runners up in the Scottish Cup final does
not give us entry into any European competitions. I still
think going to the Premiership is far better than
winning a Scottish cup. Of course if Celtic win the cup and
then finished in the top 2 in the league, only then would
the runners up gain entry to a qualifying round of the
Europa league

Folk getting a bit ahead of themselves here, looking at how much we are going to make from our European run next season!

If it came down to a choice between winning the cup and getting promotion, it`s a no brainer, a cup win would be something that would live forever in our collective memory

I vaguely mind of `61, despite being there - couldn`t get to the replay as it was a Tuesday evening school night.

Wish I could forget `65, (just like Hearts fans) however `68 is clear in the memory.....having been at all six games.

Tough games for both Ayr and Arbroath tomorrow. Things could look quite different depending on tomorrow`s results.

Hopefully we have enough up front to provide a real threat for the 90 minutes. I suspect it might be quite a tricky game.

Abdulia back tomorrow. All will be well in the defence.
Turley will be epic where ever he is told to play. (Lets get him signed up.)
"Gallus" Morrison back to keep his scoring record up. Every team needs one and we have one now.
Lots of time over the last 2 weeks to work on set pieces
We are securing a play off spot in the next 2-3 games

IF - we keep our minds off the semi final.

We have to be better prepared this time round vs Morton.
They used their wide men very effectively the last game and we didn’t cope at all first half.

Agreed. Lenny needs to drill it into them to keep their minds off their semis.

I expect a hard game today. There’s never much between the teams recently.

I believe this season has seen a 0-0 and 2-0 away and a 1-0 win at home.

Never many goals scored so I’ll happily take a 1-0 win.
