 Glad all over...
Topic Originator: Bertie Paton

Can we put this post celebration old relic in the bin please?

Drowns out the atmosphere when we score and it`s quite a keech song. Dated rubbish and that`s coming from a 48 year old.

I agree. Not only is blaring music when we score awful but it’s made considerably worse by this song. They do it at full time when teams win trophies or qualify for tournaments. Totally drowns out the fans and atmosphere. Keep stuff like this in American sports.

Yeah get it patched, it sounds terrible through the tannoy, too much treble and kind of grating when we are smashing teams 3-0 every week!

Get it in the bin!

Just at the time the crowd noise is at the highest, up blasts this bland awful music (that`s used by any number of clubs) to kill it off

To top it all, the announcer tries to sound like a regional FM DJ, kills it dead

Who sponsors this rubbish? Get them named and shamed!

Not even a proper band, they were all faking it apart from Dave.

Bin it, for anything else imo.

Nothing wrong with the song imo (although it has no relation to the Pars as far as I know?) but the effect of the music cutting out after 30 seconds or so really kills the atmosphere. I`d prefer no goal music at all

And the Scotland games! We beat Denmark in the most thrilling way imaginable - who thinks it`s a good idea to play music when we scored?

Then when the after game interviews - again, music blasting drowning out the interview and celebrations. Who thinks this is a good idea?

Was the same when we beat Aberdeen. Blur Song2 full blast as soon as the whistle went which drowned out the singing and killed the atmosphere. Did change it to Gregor Abel which was better I suppose.

I think they were trying to push walking along Halbeath Road but I think that Gregor Abel comes across better.

I agree we need to update glad all over.

Actually song 2 would be better goal celebration. Still it’s an old song these days 🤷🏻‍♂️

Even nothing could be better

The chorus to Nirvana`s Lithium would be cool, just the "Yeah Yeah" bit so as not to confuse the thickos😀 .

Heard it on the stream 3 times so far - its awful, drowns out the fans celebrating and absolutely nobody sings along to it.

At least Tom Hark/Chelsea Dagger etc got fans involved.

It`s clear everyone hates it, I think it`s a real negative in football.

Why not bin it then? Was the same today, I`m at the game, I want to hear the fans, not some third rate song.

If it’s a song that works it can add something if it doesn’t, it’s a nuisance.

Time to readdress

Agreed, it`s ridiculous. Why would you want to suffocate the atmosphere?

The worst example was Song 2 blared out at the end of the Aberdeen game. Biggest game at EEP in a generation and the celebrations at the end are overridden by tinny music from 20 years ago

Yeah, you know things are going well at the club when folk are getting worked up about the music played to celebrate a goal!

If the rickety tannoy system at EEP is drowning anything out then you’re not making enough noise anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d be interested to find out how much is paid to sponsor it. Could start a bidding war between having it and not having it. I’d happily chip in to a not having it campaign.

Bin it for me.

If you really, really want it., The Rezillos did a version of this song, at least show some imagination rather than copy about 20 other clubs

Oh, and there`s the Dunfermline connection.

I’ve never understood why officials who work for DAFC think playing a tune immediately after scoring is a good idea.
I know it’s not only us and happens elsewhere but I’d really like to know the rational behind it.

I`m fine with new things getting tried, what is unforgivable in this ongoing torture is someone failing to spot when something has had it`s day.

I bet the sadists at the club have it lined up for Hampden too.

Can we also bun the "let`s get right behind the team, come on ye pars" at the start of every half . It’s proper tinpot stuff. Nobody’s suddenly thinking “you know what, I wasn’t going to bother today but that scream down the mic has convinced me”.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.
