 Commitment and Belief

Many peeps are praising Lenny - and yeeha so am I.
Yet I think the plaudits have to be weighted in favour of our owners commitment and belief.
Our 1.7Million loss.
Lets look at that - when they back NL they backed him. There`s almost as many background coaches/analysts/physios etc as there are players.
Hotels for long journeys. etc etc
No wonder he is committed to the project. I am willing to bet we now have a better set up than some premier clubs.
Add in the scouting and money being paid to buy players ( when has that last happened) and I am not surprised we are coming onto some consistent form at the right end of the season.
It`s beautiful to witness isn`t it ?

The Masterton era?

Don`t get me wrong. I`m loving it. But been here before and even older folk than me before that.

Hopefully it`s sustainable this time.

It’ll become sustainable when we’re selling players for millions then our owners can sell their services for millions off the back of that. ATM I can see it working however promotion as early as possible is a must.

With wages and transfer funds paid out we must have close to the biggest budget in the league and the owners have absolutely backed the cause.

If we don’t sneak up via the playoffs this year it will be interesting we see what we do player wise in the summer. Do we keep most of the out of contract players such as Ngwenya and todd etc or do we try to get better in and have a tilt at the league outright?

If we don’t go up then livi will be weaker than st Johnstone next season so you have to think some good signings and another clear of the decks and we’ll be up there.

Absolutely need to try and get Ngenwa and Todd to sign new contracts.

Plenty of players out of contract where we can sign ‘improvements’ but Ngenwa been a revelation since moved to centre half and Todd looks like a new player.

We`ve got a number of players who`ll be on a decent wage not even starting just now. Assuming they all leave in the summer, we’ve got an excellent chance to properly improve and go for the title (if we don`t go up this year).

Based on contracts expiring, I`d go for:

Keep
Ngwenya
Todd
JCM

Release
Mehmet
KRH
Fisher
Otoo
Bene
TOB
S. Young

Undecided
Hamilton
Kane

Loans Ending
Oxborough
Turley
Carey
Thomas

Its been incremental improvement. Small steps. The biggest improvement has been in the mindset and belief that you can win games. The performances are much better, the potential in each player is being realised. I think that if players feel they are better players under the management team thats a big step. Good to see Alfons back on his game. Its never easy living and working away from home, but he has hopefully come through that and cam go on and fulfill his potential. Generally I thought second half performance was one of tge best I have seen for a while. We created the goal scoring opportunities and probably should have had a couple more. I thought we looked a well balanced side in every area of the park.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I wish all of us had the same commitment and belief. Eg not booing at half time yesterday, when we were creating chances and but for the bar, online clearance etc we could have scored. Not saying first half was perfect and did go a little flat, but for me nothing boo worthy when it was only half way through

We don`t know for sure which League we`ll be playing in next season so it seems a bit premature to be deciding the fate of those players whose contracts expire at the end of this season.

Should be given another year at the minimum IMO.

He never really put a foot wrong for us and by all accounts he`s been good at Lowland League level with Tranent, followed that up with the same reviews in League Two with East Kilbride.

Maybe come back and do another loan to league one/championship level?

Totally agree...great prospect!

Oakley Booth is rated by Lennon, we went downhill after his injury up at Perth.

I think Tash has all the attributes. He has improved over the season.
