Lennon says he`s moving about fine. Nuradeen with pubic bone issue. Doesn`t sound season ending but hopefully ok for a week on Saturday.

Morrison has something there but may make the squad Saturday.

I don`t think you will see any of them before Hampden.

I`d be wrapping Tod and Morrison in bubble wrap and being very careful with Kane`s minutes. Maximise Bray, Fyfe, Cooper and TOB.

Oakley-Boothe actually looks quite handy when thrown on up front. Good touch, quite physical and nae slouch.

Use him.

On official site if anyone is looking

Rory McLeod confirmed as out for the season too. I`d maybe just missed this if it was announced previously.

Terrible luck we`re having in forward areas.

If Cooper were to get injured then it would be quite the turn up for the books Chris Kane being our most impervious to injury forward! 😂 🤦‍♂️

Realistically, we really want to be looking for a point from Saturday, start some of the players who would benefit from more game time. Its about the full squad from now to the end of the season I think so that everyone to a man is up to speed for the semis.

I think it`s a fair question, we have a lot of lads out on loan, some of them on these cooperation agreements, I was also wondering who could come back if required, I think it`s realistically only Alastair Davidson who would be eligible.

Chris Kane on COWS is talking about his fitness issues. It seems on Thursdays, instead of joining in the normal training session, he does a stint on the bike in the gym and it seems to be working for him. The congested playing schedule just now seems to suit him too as there are fewer full training sessions. His issues don`t stop his whole-hearted approach when he is on the park which we can all see for ourselves.

I’ve been thinking about whether we’ll offer Kane a new contract next season. I’ve always said that Lennon will let him go, but you just know he’ll sign for Thistle and be a thorn in our side next season (if neither of us go up of course).

I still think he is the best striker at the club - perfect foil for Tod and Morrison. Let’s pray all three are fit for the 18th.

He’s actually done really well lately and as said above seems to be thriving on regular game time. He doesn’t play as if he’s protecting an injury and still rag dolls defenders for fun. Even when he doesn’t score he makes a massive contribution.

It`s a good article that one, Wee Eck. In my opinion they should be letting Chris train however he sees fit. He gives his all on the pitch and they should be managing his workload off the pitch, which it sounds like they are now doing

There`s an article in the Courier based around the interview which says that, since he joined on loan in the January 2024 transfer window, he has made 72 appearances and scored 27 goals. That`s not a bad return in both respects and would suggest he is probably worth another deal.

Ideally you would keep Kane for another year on a structured contract with bigger appearance and goal bonus but he’ll maybe have other options with more security.

I’d rather keep Kane than rudden, but with rudden, Todd and young contracted to next season it might be Kane has to go to clear the way for a main striker to come in.

I’d prefer Kane to stay over Rudden and Young. But you could be right and Kane might have to be the one who would leave if Lennon wants to add his own man up front. I’m sure we’ll be looking to strengthen the squad regardless of which division we are in.

I can see Young going out on loan again though, potentially to League One this time. So that would leave Tod, Rudden, Morrison and Cooper on the books. With Fyfe and MacLeod also making up the numbers in the squad.

I think Chris Kane has at least another season at our level. He scores goals and at times important goals. He can also support and pass on hus knowledge to younger players given our youth policy.

Gotta feel really bad for the kid. He`s going to miss a trip to Hampden and has virtually no chance of finishing top scorer now 😢 .

He`s got massive potential to go far in the game though and will hopefully bring a healthy transfer fee if he leaves to bigger and better things. I`m pretty confident that due to him being a Pars fan, he`ll sign a lengthy contract to ensure the club a healthy fee. Same goes for his brother who is also a class act, and will surely win goal of the season for his absolute gem early in the season.

Andy Tod snr started off as a striker and scored a huge amount of goals. As he got older and slower he was moved to centre half where he played very well. He was often sent up front when we were chasing a goal at the end of a game and often scored. So that led to him sometimes starting up front again where we just lobbed the ball up to him, but eventually age caught up with him as it does to us all. An absolute Pars legend.

Looked pretty much back to normal , moving freely enough and still looks to have his normal pace , just hopefully he’s not too sore after getting 30 mins or so and will be good to go for Saturday.

Hopefully he is okay but for sure you need to be careful with young playees and injuries. Its a big game that everyone will want to be involved in, but if players are carrying niggles you wouldnt want to agravate those for their own future and short term push for tge playoffs and games to come. NL and the management team may have some difficult decisions to make.

Im hoping this is all a game from Lennon and Co - take him and JCM out the team for a bit, say they are long term doubts, then they magically appear in the starting 11 on Saturday as they were just being rested - they both could do with it tbf!

We should be good enough without them to come away from Airdrie with some sort of points tomorrow, so don’t risk them.

Oxborough`s jersey was on a peg next to JCM,`s, a previous visit or a wind up?

Oxborough won`t have played for us before at Firhill will he?

I haven`t a clue whether Andrew Tod is seriously injured or not but not so long ago NL was telling us Calumn Morrison`s injury was a tricky one that would have to be carefully managed but there he was on Saturday running around like a Spring lamb by all accounts.

I picked up on that as well, so not sure if JCM had an injury that he wasn’t quite right on the day and was pulled from the squad.
