The winning run put us TEN points clear in 4th with a game in hand. That`s the only reason he can afford to rest players. A few weeks ago we were p1ssing around in 7th/8th. Even after the weekend we will still be 4th whatever happens with 3 games left. I`d have bit your hand off for that at the start of February.

Of course you would.
He`s resting an injury hit squad so we have a fighters chance of reaching a sixth *ever* Scottish Cup final. And after that we have a swing at making the play offs. Enjoy the ride and have some fortitude over matches like tonight.

Folk panicking about losing out on 4th soot need to remember the teams below us wont win every game till the end of the season. Win 1 more game and we should be fine.
Would much rather rest the first 11 tonight for Saturday to avoid more injuries and give McGlynn less information too.

We`ve looked more solid since Bene came on. Had about three chances in that half but not got any on target yet. They were killing us early on with balls wide especially down our right side. Mochrie,Thomas and Strapp were always gonna be capable of hurting us. I`m encouraged that we look like we could score, the game`s not a dead duck yet.

This is a very risky play by Lennon these last two games.
Can forgive him for the Thistle game as one could argue we would be unlikely to beat them with a decent team out but this Airdrie game was a really good chance to effectively get the job done ahead of this weekend.
Throwing points away.

We`ve created a fair few chances in the first half. Obviously there have been a few moments when inexperience and unfamiliarity between the players have caused us problems.
It`s been pretty entertaining though.
I`m liking Abdulai in midfield and John Tod looks excellent every time he touches the ball. He also seems to be getting into good forward positions. I`d love a back three of JT, Abdulai and JCM at Hampden with all of that space to run into.

Where is Ox? According to Flashscore Haughey is a Fleetwood player, when did we sign him?
Craig Mcdowell?? Who is he and where did he come from. He last played in 2022 going by Google. Is he an emergency loan with Ox back at Well?
F Shearer is a Kelty Hearts player according to Flashscore???
Whits aw this aboot?

Jake, it`s more like an unlicensed game I used to have on the first PlayStation. It had names all misspelled. One I can remember was Jimmy Floyd Hooslebonk. I kid you not.
As for the play offs if we make it, I could see us maybe beating Arbroath over two legs, but we haven`t got much change against Partick all season, never mind an SPL side such as Kilmarnock or Dundee. I know we`ve beaten 2 clubs in the cup, but those were one off games in a cup where shocks aren`t a freak occurrence. The Hibs game could have went either way and Aberdeen was one just one of those games when we were very good and they were very bad. It`s very different when it comes to staying in the SPL.
Bare in mind that I`m a complete pessimist that hopes and welcomes to be proven wrong. Expect the worst but hope for the best is my rather unfortunate outlook.

Flashscore are very wrong about McDowell, he`s clearly not a goalie. I can`t even click on him anymore, I can pull up profiles for every player apart from him wheras half an hour a go he was a 35 year old keeper who had barely played over the past ten years.

Brilliant 3rd in league and a Scottish Cup semi final, who would have thought that a couple of months ago.
Can now go into Saturday with confidence.

If we had lost that game it would have been a travesty. The fan running along the stand to square up to Lennon was amusing. Looked like an old guy too. Embarrassing poor man’s hun twats.

Considering we were 2 down, and playing with a 2cd
string team, a 2-2 draw against a team fighting for
their championship status is a good result.

Of the fringe players I thought McLeod and Fyfe were the standouts, the more experienced players did OK.

Well deserved point. We should have a strong and rested line up for Saturday plus good options from the bench.?
We need to play very well and hope for the rub of the green 🤞

Excellent result for such a young makeshift team.
Nervy start but grew into the game, Abdulai and Amade were superb in the middle of the pitch.
Well done young uns…..and Bene who steadied a nervy defence.

Bringing Bene on was needed or we were going to get pumped. Turley was struggling before his *cough injury. Abdulai in a forward midfield was entertaining. Fyfe did himself proud. Tod in a more forward position was good. Davidson needed a fair few minutes ie a half to find his feet
Amade sorted out the midfield.
Cooper is a player
And we lacked a true forward
Happy with a well earned point.

We`ve scored the same amount of goals as Partick and only conceded 6 more but have 16 points less than them. That right there is one strange statistic.
Anyway, 5 ahead of Raith (realistically the only team with a slight chance of catching up), 7 or 8 ahead in goal difference effectively making it 6 points. 9 points to play for, I think even a pragmatic pessimist like myself can safely say we have a 92.3% of finishing in a play off place. We could very well be playing Arbroath 3 times in a row if they don`t collapse. Fife will be stinking of smoked kippers for months (I think their is a Black Blackadder joke in there somewhere but names escape me).
We may not get promoted but the experience will be useful next season if we don`t succeed. Lennon will need to come up with a different game plan to bear Partick if we get that far as so far we`ve taken 1 point from 12 and are several players down.
Come on you PAAAaaaarrrs!!!

That must be one of the youngest ever starting line ups we have had, and we have had a few in recent years. By my reckoning we had an average age of 20 tonight. Lucas Fyfe just turned 17 last month. I could see some big money being flung about for him by some English side for their young team.
I was anxiously looking at the table a few times during that game but that point should be enough, we would really need to lose each game (which is possible) and they would need to win at least 2 games from their 3 tough remaining games

That was a good point. Tge first goal was a very well worked goal. Second was a great cross onto the feet of Lucas. Great to see him get his first goal. A good performance considering several players have had limited game time. I thought they grew into the game as it went on. A well deserved point in the end. Tash struggled a bit but not his natural position. I think that the bigger pitch Saturday will suit him especially in his more natural position. Its going to be about pace and the ability to hold the ball Saturday on the bigger pitch.
Its a big point and sets us up for a third place finish. Its in our hands.

If only Bene hadn`t done `a Wanyama` that gifted them 2nd goal. But he was good otherwise.
Fyfe has made the grade.
Kearney and Nurudeen worked a bit o` magic leading to our first goal. They just need to do it more often. I like Nuru in that more forward role he played second half.
Amade done good stuff - tackling and passing.
Cooper was bright and eager, almost scored another.
J. Tod very good.
Everyone else was decent.
NL clearly had an impact in the half time talk, because we were more of a unit and got intae their ugly mugs more second half.
