Referees get a lot of stick, some justifiable, some not, and I thought that last night overall Don Robertson did a reasonable job but can anyone explain why manhandling an opponent to prevent him from getting the ball or increasing your chances of getting the ball, is not a foul? The SJ no 4, Boyes, was a persistent offender in this regard and was never punished. On the other hand some of the most innocuous of contacts are penalised. I`m completely perplexed now as to what is allowed and disallowed by way of physical contact.
