I don`t post very often, but there might be a few people on here who knew my Dad, given he has been going to East End since the 1940s. He still had a season ticket and was going to games this season.
Sadly Dad passed away on Monday afternoon at the age of 93, he saw the semi-final on the telly on Saturday and we were planning our trip to his 6th Scottish Cup Final.
I`ll post details of the funeral when we have them.
Best wishes,
Keith

Sorry about the loss of your dad, it`s never easy. However, as a long time Pars supporter he certainly went out on a high, although it would have been great to have had him around for the final as well.

Sorry for your loss, Keith. That`s some age he managed! Remember he`s at peace now...though I bet he`s still holding out for a result in a few weeks!

Sorry for your loss ❤️
Hear me out - these are the fans I was happiest for on Saturday, getting to see the club back in another final after having supported the club for decades. My partners grandad is in his 80s now, and will most likely not make the final due to mobility issues, but so happy for him to see us there again.
Your dad will have been proud as puff on Saturday afternoon, and will be looking down on us as we lift the trophy for the city 🖤🤍

Condolences to you and the family, Keith. A great innings and I’m sure he will have a much better view than the fans behind the goals. I reckon he knew what he was doing !

Very sorry to hear of your Dad`s passing, condolences to you and your family. Last weekend was a fantastic weekend for Pars fans, a great win and a cup final to look forward to, so at least your Dad went out on a high note as a Pars fan. Hopefully you can go to the Cup Final with, his scarf, badge, watch, something of his, to have him along there at the final with you

Sorry to here the sad news Keith. I was his neighbour for the last 12 years he lived in Hillend. Every summer he was very generous with the fruits from the bottom of the garden.
Remember meeting him at one of the recent Hampden finals and he had an old scarf on which he proudly informed me it had been to the 68 final.

Very sorry to hear about your loss Keith. Condolences to you and your family.
I’m sure there will be a lot of emotion for you at the cup final this year. I know some of the fondest memories I’ve spent with my own dad have been when watching the Pars together.
I had been thinking about you recently as last cup final I bumped into you in Inverkeithing High Street after the game and have been planning my own journey over from the US. I always remember your passion for the Pars, cricket and the land of Nippon.

Sorry to hear this Keith, although I haven`t seen your dad for many years, he was a good friend of my dad (Ian Thomson) and I remember him as a lovely man with a ready smile.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Keith, but glad your dad was able to see us reach the Final.
On another note, you name seems to ring a bell with me.
Did you happen to study Chemistry at Edinburgh University many moons ago?
