Itās a hard one to call. Weāre hoping to get 3rd so he might go all out to play a strong team in both games.

Honestly it`s two friendly pre-season games now.
We could be in for a crazily intense period of games. NL has the chance to keep first choice players injury free and also give some fringe players the opportunity to prove themselves.
u19s for the next two games.

After the last few seasons, a playoff spot and Scottish cup final makes for a brilliantly successful season! For the last 2 league games, rest players up and utilise the squad players, to get ready for the games ahead. Regardless of what happens from here, what a great season, and we can build on this further next year

Scottish Cup final and Playoff place with two games to spare. Spent our new investment well and made a ton of prize money this season.
Speculate to a accumulate. So much better than the passive owners from before.
One of the youngest squads in Scottish football and come with so much success.
Abosolutely loving it.

Agree. Yellow card incoming tomorrow for kicking the ball away hopefully.
It`s all a gamble but I`d rather he missed the earlier play off games than missing the semi or final.

Rest players as we have had a busy schedule this past month. Possibly 9 games (& an open top bus š followed by a month long hangover) from now until end of May.

Iād say anyone with knocks or showing any signs of fatigue will be rested over the next two games - can see Bray/Fyfe/Hamilton and maybe even Bene get minutes.
Was actually thinking that although he hasnāt played much this season, we have missed Otoo in the last few weeks as heād provide that balance on the left when Fraser isnāt playing (and could allow for the occasional early sub for him). Itās definitely an area we will need to strengthen in the summer.
Roll on May!

Agree with these comments,
Lennon will be determined to bring Premier league football to EEP and he`ll be determined to go as far as possible in the playoffs. Which in the short term playing the Arbroath second leg at home will be a priority.

I`m sure someone mentioned that a suspension doesn`t start until 7 days after the last offence, so if he picked up a booking that would mean he could play in the league game v Arbroath but would miss both legs of the play off.
The amount of bookings he picks up, it`s unlikely we are going to have him available right through the play offs

I`m not sure about easing off in the last two league games. We can rest players who need it but I think we need to build up a bit of momentum going into the play-offs. We lost that a wee bit with targeting the SF although there were benefits in playing some of the fringe players. Players can get injured in training just as easily as in a competitive game. You can`t wrap them in cotton wool. I`d like the advantage of playing the second leg against Arbroath at home too.

Agree Wee Eck. We need some momentum going into the play off. all seems a bit stop start at the moment team wise. Inforced chopping about, i do get that but I would be going with a fairly strong team today.

I stand to be corrected but, are the playoffs not classed as being "hosted" by the SPFL themselves?

Are yellow cards not reset in the playoffs? Sure they are. So best to rest Gilmore for the next two league games.

Another factor in team selection for the final two League games is the difference in prize money between 3rd and 4th. According to posts on the EEB forum it`s £129k!

Lots of great positive posts above.
I think we should push for third place to continue momentum for the play-offs and to secure the additional +Ā£100k prize money and see just how far we can go this season.
But I hear people`s valid points on resting players, yellow cards, etc
Tricky one but I suspect NL will make the right choice in the end.

Put the strongest team out in both games and go for 3rd.
You want the momentum of finishing third and to finish the season on a good run given weāve had spells of great games and poor form this season. Lighten the training if required but we need to not ease off.
Plus beating arbroath in the final game gives us a psychological edge.
Been a much tighter league this year, even if we won our last 2 games our points tally would not have made the playoffs last season. Weāre 12 points better off from last season as it stands.
