I have been supporting dunfermline for around 32 years now. This will be my 4th cup final and every final has been Celtic. I mean come on tae f***. Lol
But this will be the 3rd final out of the 4 that it will be, you could say, a club legends last game for Celtic. Larssons in 2004, Lennons 2007 and now MartinO`Neils last game to manage. And funny enough its against Lennon who is now our manager. Crazy really. Will it be 4th lucky? Or will the Celtic Legend get his perfect send off?
All I know is, i`m already bricking it. Lol

Five of our six Scottish Cup Finals have been against Celtic. Let`s go for the Mo Hutton final, good way to send an amazing servant to the club into a happy retirement

I recall the `07 final was the `Jinky` final. Terrible game - Burchill missed a great chance early doors, Adam Hamill did Lennon with a great bit of skill that ended up costing Pressley a booking, and John-Joel Perrier Doumbe scored a fluky winner - the ONLY goal he ever scored in his career.

Was the Jinky final not 06 , just after they had beat us 8-1 at east end .

The good thing about this one is that the media will concentrate on Lenny v O`Neil so that will hopefully keep any pressure off our players - not that they should feel any anyway 🤔

The benefit we have is Celtic know nothing of our team and will need to do lots of homework before the final, but they will have limited time to do this as our squad will not likely be the same until the first play off (assuming we get there).
No 4 games a season to get used to our players. Will their eyes be on the World Cup? Assuming they have any players going? It really is only a matter of a couple of weeks after the Cup Final and players going will be in the USA.

I have been at all 5 finals v Celtic - can`t be too many of us auld farts still on active service !!!
`65 was the real heartbreaker.
Mind you the revenge of January 1968 is still sweet in the memory.

At first final 1961, couldn`t get to replay (school night) 65 game was a heartbreaker, the start of Celtic`s supremacy !
68 on bus from Civil Service Club arranged by the late Gerry Page, a great day out followed by the procession down the High Street.
More recent finals have seen me there with my sons, hopefully this final will be with grandkids, though 2 of my granddaughters play for Raith ladies!😡

Just looking forward to the day out, have no expectation that Pars will win this one, as long as we give it a good go, sure we’ll have the majority of other teams in our corner come the game!

Pars have been in 9 cup finals in total.
5 Scottish cup, 2 wins 60/61 + 67/68,
3 defeats 64/65, 03/04, 06/07
3 league cup finals 49/50, 91/92 and 05/06, no wins
1 challenge cup final defeat 07/08.
I`ve saw 5 of them, could do without a 6th 🤣
The flame still burns

I have a question about kit clash. It looks like Celtic are the designated home team for the final. St. Mirren were able to wear their black & white stripes against Celtic in the final but they have way more black on their top than we do.
Are we, yet again, going to have to see us play the final in some weird change strip? Granted in 04 Celtic wore an olive green jersey and we still opted to play in the worst jersey in our history.
Anything other than us running out at Hampden in all red.

I would much rather not be in the home kit imagine 120th minute still 0-0 they put pressure on us one of our player has a quick scan thinks it’s one of our players passes straight to a Celtic player just because the kits are similar would rather have no excuses

Thankfully only 3 Pars ones - 04, 06 and 07 😂
2 in the Hibs end v Ross County and Celtic in ‘16 and ‘13 and a Killie one in 07 where they lost 51 to Hibs 😂
Lets just hope this curse ends in May!

I notice the shop are getting another 500 in of the home strip, you can pre order.
I wonder if that is an indication that we will be in our current 1st strip, not a new one, which would be ideal. I don`t think the colours clash too much with us having the black shorts and socks.
