It`s done, league is finished...
A weeks recovery and build up to the final now. Forget everything that happened in the last 12 hours and get behind the team for the finale. Big ask, but there`s never been a better time to play Celtic...

If Celtic win the Premiership tomorrow I`m not sure next Saturday will be a good time to play them.

I respectfully disagree . I think they’d be more dangerous if they lose tomorrow and only have Cup to save their season they will put all efforts into it. If they win tomorrow they will have such a sense of relief and will spend half the week celebrating that their eye may come off the ball a bit and there may be a little of “after the Lord Mayors show “ feeling and they can be got at .
Maybe I’m just hoping 😀

Agree, I’ve had a fair fee encounters with Glasgow based Celtic fans in the last week and the vibe I’m getting is they don’t really care for the cup as the league is the big concern - so that’s they’re prize this season
If I thought it would give us 1% more of a chance to win the cup then I’d happily see them pump hearts tomorrow

I dont want them to but somehow I think it may be beneficial to us. They wont have that clamour that they have to win something. They will have won something if they`ve won the league

If Celtic don’t win the league that’s bad news for us. They aren’t going to be known for the team to lose 2 cup finals and the league on the final day. If they win the league we have a slight chance as releases the pressure on them and hopefully they get complacent

In a weird way, I wish Arbroath had put us out. We were never going to get past partick in these borderline rigged play offs. We have been promoted a thousand times in our history. I just want to see us win that cup. It won’t ever get better than that for a pars fan.

We could have got past Thistle. We had better chances and more of them last night. I am proud of our guys. They gave their all. Our errors hurt us. To get where we are is quite remarkable given where we were earlier in the season. A huge learning curve for young players.

All of our chances came before we scored. We deserved to be one up. The equalizer was poor as it was on Tuesday. That’s what killed as after that we created next to nothing.
Stats show Thistle 8-1 shots on target.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

we hit our target of reaching the playoffs. Partick have been the better side than us this season. But we matched them for large parts last night. Tony Watt made the difference really. All focus is now on the final with no other distractions.

Celtic will be well up for the cup final regardless of the Parkhead result totay.
Winning the title opens up the opportunity for the double - and losing to Hearts will focus them on lifting the only other silverware available - and make up for losing it to Aberdeen last season. They will certainly not relish missing out in successive seasons, especially to a lower tier club, and having already lost the League Cup.
Either way we have a huge challenge next Saturday, any other mindset is wishful thinking IMO.

I think you`re right, vee. Celtic may not be as consistent as in previous seasons but they`re still capable of playing at a pace and intensity our players won`t have experienced before. One thing in our favour though is that NL`s experience with Celtic may give him some inside information as to how best to counter their strengths psychologically and exploit any weaknesses. We`ll have to be at the very top of our game.

We don’t have anywhere near enough in the final third to cause Celtic much problems to be honest.
If Celtic are on it - it’s a routine win.
I was more nervous about last night than this coming Saturday.
But in a one off game, anything can happen, weather meant to be braw so just looking forward to enjoying the day regardless of what the result ends up being.

We looked leggy last night. That`s exactly what we don`t need when Maeda and Johnston are galloping at us.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Everyone knows Maeda is leaving this summer so I hope they don’t announce it this week and make it the “Maeda final”.

To me its not about Celtic. Its about us, what we do, our approach to the game and the self belief that we can win it.
You have to beat everyone to win so its about going out with the attitude of beatimg them. History is littered with 'what ifs', so its about making sure we don't add to the list, give it everything and regret nothing.
