 Remaining tickets & weather
Topic Originator: BouncyPar

Looks like we only have approx 500 tickets remaining of our allocation, so roughly 16,500 sold. Absolutely fantastic support.
A quick look at the met Office shows 20/21° sunny and dry.

It`s going to be a Pars party!

Weather in Glasgow has changed a lot over the last week - one minute was sunny and 25 degrees, now cloudy and 20 degrees max.

Even today, I looked earlier and it had sun all afternoon in Glasgow on Saturday and now cloudy. As long as it’s no chucking it down, it will make for a good day’

I thought we`d sell out our allocation no bother. Perhaps those with kids have been put off by Saturday`s antics at Celtic Park/Trongate and non-diehards now see it as a foregone conclusion ... not that it is, of course. :o)

Nah all that Celtic stuff came too late to put anyone off the main reason we never sold it out is because if you gave a family your paying over £100 for it I think if tickets were cheaper we would have

A couple of weeks ago I asked copilot how the ticket price from 2004 to 2026 compared. It suggested the increase is almost precisely in line with inflation over that period...

The issue though is affordability as wages have not increased at the same rate and everything is more expensive!

There are still a good few folk looking for seats on buses , i would imagine lack of transport through is adding to issues selling the remaining tickets.

There`s also something about the way we`ve restricted sales to people with Dunfermline history. I understand why the club have done it but I think all finals see some interested supporters from other clubs sometimes attend. Me and a group of Pars fans went to see Ross County v Dundee United final a few years ago, just for the day out and the chance to see a non old firm winner. If fans like that don`t have a Dunfermline registered pal they can`t get tickets

And to think there were people panicking about getting a ticket - there was always going to be enough for everyone 🤔

You would think for this last week they could have opened it up to anyone but then potentially 500 - 1000 Celtic fans in our end would still not be acceptable, so it`s prob for the best even if non Dunfermline supporting neutrals miss out.

Fully support the way the club have sold our tickets - just a shame we haven`t managed to quite sell it out.

16,000 is pretty good for us tho 👍🏼

I think the club handled it well.

Saves too many tickets getting snapped up by cheeks fans, and has ensured all fans who want tickets will get one

Also the overseas fans, if they subscribed to parsTV. Or even just emailed the club to explain.

The game is for the town/city, so I get that a few people might miss out- but it looks like close to a sell out.

I was in the shop about a week ago, buying a ticket for a pal from down South- have to say the staff were absolutely spot on and very efficient.

Previous cup finals against Celtic would have a had a much higher proportion of Celtic and neutral fans in our end than this time around.

Did we not have around 18000 in 2004. Just general sale to anybody at that time. Now we have 16,500 in a sale restriced to people who have purchase history with DAFC. Of course not all are Pars fans but a greater proportion than previously I would think.

The Courier reckons the club`s share of revenue from the Cup Final will be around £500k and around twice that for the Cup run as a whole.

The Courier is miles off. Closer to £2m than £1m for the Cup run even if we lose.

Mon the Pars!!!!!!!!!!!

Whilst the money is helpful , this cup run is for the players and supporters who were there for our 0-5 home humbling against Morton, for the defeat by Hamilton, for the last couple of years we couldn’t buy a goal. When losing Lewis McCann at Arbroath to a hamstring injury was a disaster. When playing Queens Park with players who were obviously injured but carried on regardless and that feeling of hopelessness and where to and who do we turn to next. It is for those players during those times as well as the players who brought us this cup run that we are here.
We could never imagined where we are now just 12 -18 short months ago. Let’s go that final stretch and bring heroes back to East End Park.
