You are better off going to the hospital instead of slavering drivel online if you have a head injury.

Lennon imo went defensive 1st half and weather the storm hoping 0-0 at half time.. then I think he was going to go for it in the second.
Great day and even to get to a final was brilliant this season.
Well done to all at DAFC! Also the fans were great. A loss but what a finish to the end of the season.

Made a poor choice not starting kane.

Playing abdulai in the middle and not amade.
Abdulai should have been at the back instead of John Tod.

John is just young will be a good player but too much to look after probably the best player in Scottish football - Maeda.

TOB starting another poor choice imo. Morrison is honking - not seen him do anything apart from a 20 minute cameo against Patrick at home last week.

Lennon has done great for us to get us here and to renovate this team - let`s hope he continues on. But I think today - he got a lot wrong.
We looked a different team in the second half, Maybe that was the plan.

Lennon had a plan and if it worked would have ended up 1-1 at full time going into extra/pens.
I can’t wait to see what team we have and the start of next season and will be buying 2 x season tickets for the first time in 4 years.
At least we can all have a break now and can’t wait for the usual we will be signing 500k players to bolster the squad for next season😅

You could see what Lenny was trying to do in the first half, and for the first fifteen minutes it looked as if he had once again confounded the critics with his unorthodox team selection, with Callumn’s willing running inches from giving us an unlikely lead and TOB looking classy in midfield.
One long ball later and the rest of the first half was a cringefest which proved many things even occasional Pars watchers this season will have been aware of - Abdulia is better in defence than midfield, JCM is also better at centre half than at right back, TOB can disappear for spells, and John Tod is a huge talent still prone to the odd error. The three half time subs and subsequent appearance of Amade saw us match the Champions in the second half, with square pegs now in square holes, but as St Mirren proved in the semis, this was definitely a day for finishers as much as starters (anyone remember the opening day match at Celtic Park where we capitulated from a goal down with ten to go to a five nil hammering?).
We were no more outplayed overall today than in the noughties finals when we were still a Premiership team. The lads did themselves, the management and us proud today, as they have throughout the second half of the season. Bring on 26/27!

Abdullai for John Tod - too son for John this size of game, and that first goal becomes a lot harder if Nuru is at centre half

Amade for Nuru - obviously if he drops into CB

Kane for Andy Tod - we needed two workhorses up top today, and thats Kane and Morrison. Nothing against Andrew btw, great talent, just today wasn’t the right day for him.

Subs at half time showed he made an error, but look, we lost 3-1 and not 6-0 like what should happen with Celtic v a top half Champ team. We will go again.

He is a class manager, and classy in defeat as well given his interviews. Lets not doubt him too much!

Also - for those moaning about TOB today, he done exactly what was required - mark Callum McGregor out of the game. He barely got a touch first half. Exactly what we needed. Lay off Tash.

Tash matched McGregor for about 20 mins then lost him. Lennons reactions to him on the touchline said it all. The decision to start Tash today was the wrong one.

Fuvk all to do with drink. Follow the team home and away weekly and that’s served up for a final. Away and clap yourself to sleep. Not acceptable. The starting line up needs questioned.

Lennon had a plan and most people on here could see what the plan was. As for John Tod he done everything he could today -tracking and man marking Madea. Personally I felt he was too slow for the task. Not the lads fault Madea is blooming fast to find nooks and the speed for the runs through. First time I’ve seen it first hand. There is a reason he’s the best if not one of the best strikers in Scotland.

The first half was really one to forget, except I need to see it as I thought it was in but Callum Morrisons attempt- I never looked up at the screen behind the goal to check how close it was. Morrison reminds me a bit of Noel hunt but needs to improve a lot for next season.

Well if it’s not to do with the drink, you’re clearly just a Lennon hating troglodyte. The subliminal hunery in your posts is absolutely honking. Aye, Lennon got the starting 11 wrong, but to suggest a pro Celtic bias in that outcome reeks to high heavens

Ten minutes of the Arbroath game where he was isolated with Ryan Dow running at him was a red flag for today going against Maeda; got away with it then but sadly step up today in levels and was punished.

Abdulai in midfield in that same game made sense, ball was in the air for what seemed like 80% of the game and he dominated. Today was in amongst and up agsinst two best of the midfielders in the country and they passed around him for fun.

Two big calls - especially for a cup final - and this time it didn`t work out. We never laid a glove on Celtic in the first half and it`s really disappointing if nothing else.

Plus points i would say, despite the obvious success in change of shape, is there is a potential partnership there with Rudden and Kane. Fitness issues aside they linked up quite well, few good runs and seem to have a decent understanding.

I thought Neil got it wrong with the starting line up and the formation.
There were no surprises in the Celtic line up. Abdulai is our quickest centre back. I can see why he played there against a physical Arbroath side, but Celtic are not physical in there with MacGregor and Nygren. Celtic played with two wingers, so a back four would have made sense. Matty Todd and John Tod were caught out often in the first half with Tierney and Yang interchanging and Maeda’s clever movement in between the centre halves.
Up front, we had nobody to hold it up. We were probably fortunate to go in just two down?

Second half, the changes along with a rocket had the desired effect and we gave it a good go and the lads did very well.

I’m sure, with hindsight, Neil would have started with a team more akin to how the game finished.

To be honest he could’ve beat the best team in the country if he played the best squad right from the off set….. for how massive this was for us he makes changes like he did today against the best team in the country… makes lots of sense! The best and strongest squad should’ve been out from the get go if it was things could’ve been different today after the first goal he should’ve changed it but no 2-0 down then he does.. doesn’t make sense

So unlucky - but hey Lennon chucked it….. Lennon wanted to win today as much as every pars fan out there!! Just remember that

He set out to keep Celtic contained- if this went in it could have been a different game. It didn’t and they went straight up our end and scored.

Being honest, I was not impressed with the best team in Scotland!!
I’m not saying they weren’t better than us. Or that we were robbed.
I just thought we didn’t believe in ourselves in the first half. Watched Lennon going mental a few times, sorted things out at HT.
When second half started we snapped into tackles got in their faces and caused a few problems.
He assigned people certain jobs, these are international players we were up against, so a wee lack of concentration and you’re undone.
So well done to our young players, you would have taken this at the start of the season.
