Putting this post up to counter some of the criticisms from yesterday. Neil put out the team he thought would be best placed to win us the cup. It didn’t work out but he deserves our praise now the season is over and the dust has settled.
He and his back room staff came in at the end of last year to keep us in the division when we were at serious threat of relegation - job done.
1 year later, Dunfermline are back on the map, and he’s given us Pars fans excitement and optimism for the way forward. Exceeded all expectations in his first season, and I’m sure there will be a few more stay away fans coming back to EEP next year after this season and after the cup final. Cheers Neil & team.

It’s been an amazing season. So many great memories made along the way.
Very excited to see who leaves and signs for next season. Hopefully we can get players in earlier this time so the whole team can get a full pre season under there belt. Very excited for next season and can’t wait to renew our season tickets. As a Pars fan seasons like this don’t come a long that often and I’m extremely grateful to Neil and all the coaches, back room staff, the players, the staff in the shop and everyone else who works for the club that we don’t see, and fellow supporters. You have all made EEP a great place to be on a Saturday afternoon.

Couldn’t have a better manager…..
Okay everything didn’t pan out yesterday but that’s fitba.
NL & his team have created a framework that I believe will move this club forward over the next season.
Exciting times ahead bring it on…….
You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

Someone posted elsewhere saying we need 10 signings or we`ll be nowhere near winning the league. Nonsense. Lennon gets the best out of players and will continue this next season. Add the Ox, replacements for Jerry and Kieran and another experienced striker (someone like Brian Graham/Tony Watt?) and we`ll be in with as good a chance as anyone.
If Bene, Hammy, Deniz, Young, TOB etc are all moved on we`ll have room to add the better quality to the squad that we need to lead the way.

I think we need to build more quality off the bench. One of the big takeaways from the Partick second leg was that they brought on Tony Watt, while we brought on a kid who wasn’t even old enough to wear the club sponsor.
If we want to challenge, we need better quality off the bench. I trust Lenny and the recruitment team will be on it already.

The majority of champions in our league get off to a flyer and set a marker for the rest to follow.
Whenever we’ve won it we won the opening fixtures at a canter and this is something we have to aim for.

Yes agreed. You also saw the same thing with Fergusons MU team when they won the English PL. They were ready from day one to hit the ground running. All of our ducks need to be lined up in terms of players through the door if we ate to be serious. If you are going to do it, do it well.

I really cannot thank Mr Lennon enough.
We have had some terrific times this season - too many to list.
He said that getting us back into the Premiership was a two-year project. Well it seems to me that we are much more than halfway there. Semifinals of the premiership playoffs and the Scottish Cup Final.
So, thank you Mr Lennon. I hope the upcoming season card sales period shows how much the supporters appreciate what has been achieved.

Yes, seeing the black and white clad multudes out in force at Hampden yesterday was brilliant and largely down to great manager. And it seems that being our manager hasn`t done his own profile any harm either. So it`s a win win.

Agree 100%. Anyone who doesn`t think Lennon is not doing a good job is nuts. Granted he has more funding than the previous managers but he also has a very young squad and we`ve got into the playoffs and the Cup Final. For all the critics what would a good season look like? The reaction of the fans at Hampden was testament to the massive strides we`ve made since Lennon came in.

We have exceeded expectations this season. Remember some halfwits on here shouting for Lenny to get the bullet?
It takes a lot of cash to get out of this league. We have a good spine to build on for next season. I hope our recruitment will be just as good as it has been up until now.

Absolutely no doubt its been a great season. The players, supporters and club have seen the benefit of what has been achieved. We never quite got there in terms of promotion or cup win, but its all about the journey, new experiences, self and team improvement that will stand everyone in good stead for the year ahead wherever they may be. Good memories, ups and downs, but that reflects life anyway. NL and the msnagement have brought out the best in the players and that is all you can ask for.

The situation compared to a year ago is night and day. I`m more optimistic than I`ve been for years.
That doesn`t exempt NL from criticism when things go wrong. I think he got the starting line up wrong yesterday. I still want him in charge now and into the future.
One of the consequences of improved performance is that you also raise the bar on aspirations. Of course players and managers will make mistakes, but I think we have to go into next season with more ambitious hopes...and expectations.

100% agree we are lucky to have Lennon and we couldn’t get better.
I do however think he got the team selection wrong on Saturday - if Abdulai had started at CB I don’t think Celtic get that 1st goal, Tod had to do better. Amade and Kane should both also have started for me.
Losing a cup final always hurts, but we’ll be better again next season.

It`s a good time to be a Pars fan - even with the disappointments of the last ten days.
After 50+ years of being a ST holder I was seriously doubting my judgment a year or so ago, but the arrival of Neil Lennon (with the support and involvement of the owners, CEO and everyone behind the scenes at the club has reaffirmed my hopes for next season.
