Seeing lots of clubs moving early to bring in players . Be great to see a few arrive at the Pars in the coming days /weeks . I know we’d be holding off in terms of Scottish cup and play off , but surly now it’s the time to act and bring in GK and sticker at least asap (help boost a few season tick sales etc )
Not even heard any rumours of who might be incoming !

Mullen and Ngwenya negotiations still ongoing so lots will depend on how that plays out as far as finances go as I think they are being offered a fair amount of money in their wage packet to stay on.
They are key to success next season as well as getting big Ox onboard.
We have shown by and large in the last quarter of this past season we don’t lose many goals with a solid defence including Abdulai.

I don`t imagine too many Pars fans had Amade or Abdulai on their bingo cards this time last year. Also, most of us would have bet against a team with three Tod(d)s in it and Kieran being a top contender for POTY.
NL talked about how important the overseas pre-season trip to Bulgaria was last season. I`d guess he wants something similar this season with as many of the signings as possible wrapped up.
We`d all like some early announcements, but I`m quite excited to see some unexpected and unknown faces.

Spot on Blacklight. Both on last seasons surprise packages and on the excitement factor at the unknowns and trusting the system.
Bringing players in quickly probably means they’re available without other good options on the table. Patience will mean being competitive and convincing in the market to get the best quality of players we can for a promotion push.
Patience is key and I trust Mr Lennon, Cook and Bord who know what they’re doing.

AO let’s go ✍️ he’s done the same to Kieran and JCM.
Hopefully we can get Oxburough and a good prospect back up to really push the goalies. Historically we have always had decent keepers but more recently kinda went below our usual standards.
I’m hoping they are looking at a data based format to work with bringing in value but experience and youth. We are a perfect team for those that feel they need to kick on their careers. Proven history of bringing on players unfortunately it’s normally for other teams. macgregor-shankland-Barney etc etc
Also wouldn’t mind seeing more gems similar to Abdulai

Tod still far from the finished article but I think Fyfe could do with a loan spell. Still only 17 Tod had a few loan moves before coming into our starting 11. Fyfe could do with the exposure of mens football in a lower level and build up from there.

Donnelly would be a good shout if Ngwenya leaves. Donnelly is left sided and can play left back and LCB. He`s only 22 years old, so fits our profile too.

Tod had a great season but still plenty games where he looked well off it in terms of quality in addition to being jaded.
Fyfe needs a loan deal where he’ll be getting regular game time, if he’s getting that here it means we’ve got injuries to key players, I didn’t see anything in his limited appearances to suggest he’s a championship level player at this point.
Young more likely to get a chance ahead of him, he’s done more in league 2 last season than I fancy Fyfe would have done regardless of age.

There`s a piece about Connor Young in today`s Courier. He scored 14 goals for East Kilbride last season and is highly thought of by EK manager, Mick Kennedy. Here are some of the things he said about him -
`He was outstanding for us. We wouldn’t have won the league without him, to be honest with you. So, we were delighted to have him.`
`...he’s got all the attributes. He’s dedicated, athletic, looks after himself, and has unbelievable technique.`
`He’s a great professional. there’s no issues in terms of his professionalism or standards or anything like that. He’s a really good kid and he’s got a real chance in the game to progress his career. And he’s only young as well – he’s still only 21. So, who knows, it might be better for Connor that he gets back out on loan for another year?`
It`s almost as if he`s deliberately countering some of the criticisms NL allegedly had of CY! It might suit all parties if he spent another year with EK at a higher level.

I think we definitely need to see what he can do in League One before deciding whether he`s ready to make the jump to the Championship. So far, he hasn`t looked competent at this level in his previous 12 appearances.
If he can secure a loan move to League One and still put up good numbers, then we can start to assess whether he`s capable of making the step up to Championship football.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Yes, feedback is as much about how it is received as well as conveyed. If it is received as criticism, it may be how this has been perceived by the player. From the other perspective it can be honest and transparent feedback on what and where you need to improve in an effort to help them progress their career.

I’d like to see Young get a chance. His appearances for us were in a p*** poor side creating absolutely nothing. He looks like he can finish so I hope he gets a chance to show us what he can do.
If he doesn’t then Lennon doesn’t rate him obviously and he seems to have an eye for a player so can only back the manager in these circumstances.

He deserves a chance, I know league 2 isn’t a great level but it’s higher that what Fyfe has played at and he’s getting a chance.

I don`t think we played Fyfe by choice. He has probably found himself in that position largely due to injuries to Rudden and Thomas. If we learned anything from last season, it`s that we`ll have greater strength in depth. Fyfe instead ready yet and if we want to go up next season I`d hope we can get someone experienced at this level instead of pinning hopes on a guy who hasn`t been tested higher than league 2.

Always a slow time in the transfer market around now with better players looking at options or still coming back from holidays etc. Yes players are moving around in the championship but Lennon knows where he needs to strengthen for the upcoming season. It would be great to have new players in for pre-season but probably going to be 50-50.
Patience required unfortunately........

Agreed - if we`re active but no-one knows the names then that`s a positive thing in my view.
We pulled a few rabbits out of the hat last summer - Kearney, Abdulai, Amade and Fraser - they`ve all been really good signings. Caceres was a rabbit out of the hat too- although that one just didn`t work out. you can`t win them all.
None of the signings our championship rivals have made have made me jealous, so I`m pretty comfortable with our approach.
We do need a lot of players in - and it`s big shame to be losing 3 first choice picks for nothing - but all we can do is look to replace them with better.

Somebody should go have a look at the training ground in rosyth. If Jeremiah and Kieran are there surely they have re-signed
Nobody down at Rosyth today
Players don’t start back until Thursday

With a "Significant Upgrade " to Pars streaming service announced on COWS - which will not be cheap - I suspect some players of note coming in to gain news/PR and international awareness ... for the Pars and Gamdom
Our owner`s are gambling big time. Young players sold for good profit yes - but experienced players this season coming in to get us out of the league too.

Given the players are back in today you’d expect to at least get an update on the 4 out goal of contract players we had offered deals to…..

Isn`t it also surprising there is no news of them signing elsewhere?

Not really - I suspect they are choosing between options. Both are solid young defenders with potential sell on value. They are available for no transfer fee - they likely have loads of options more lucrative than we are offering.

One things for sure, the club are doing a great job of keeping things quiet on the signing front.
Barely a sniff of any suggestions of players we are looking at.

And that`s exactly the way I like it, and how it should be. We don`t need to know who we are interested in, or who we are signing until the deal is signed
