I turned 65 in November and was looking forward to an over 65 reduced price season ticket. However on paying for this I’m informed that I neeed to be 66 come August 26 to qualify. What shithousery is this ?

Pension age has increased to 66. You have to be pension age at the start of the season.
Don`t hope for next year. It`s going up to 67. This should be my last working year but I missed the cut off by 3 weeks. Got to do 2 more years now. You'd think they might stagger it a bit and just add 1 year and another a couple of years later.

Oldies have been getting freebies for long enough now and it’s right to increase tickets with pension age. Indeed if we go by economic freedom the over 60s should be changed more than everyone.

I know that it is unfair on you, but at least it isn`t a money grab by the club. They have also raised the age of the young adult ticket from U21 to U22.
