I would love to be watching Scotland in the Word Cup!
My mate is there and he paid £27 for a hotdog and coke at a restaurant..well a McDonald’s hot dog place!…

What`s the Word Cup?
Is it the International Spelling Bee held in Shanghai from 12th to 19th July this year?
I don`t think Scotland qualified.

I`m about to fly to New York. Pretty sure there`s only one sporting event on everyone`s mind there and it`s the NBA finals rather than the World Cup!

That was quite a story about how the Tartan Army virtually took over Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, at their baseball match against the Texas Rangers on Sunday night. The Red Sox had promoted it to attract Scottish fans by including a special edition blue tartan Red Sox jersey in the package and were expecting around 4,000 to take up the offer. In fact something like three times that number turned up and were around one-third of the crowd, who were treated to a selection from the TA songbook. The Red Sox are having a poor season though and their luck didn`t change, Texas Rangers winning 6-4.

I wonder how many of the TA rank and file are aware of the BoSox historical racist reputation ?

The last club in the major leagues to sign a black player after resisting the inevitable.

Hoping they keep losing, especially on Thursday.

Got tickets for the game v the Blue Jays (my team)

Was always planning to catch a game & was waaay more excited about going to a Jays away game than the football when I found out the opposition haha 😄

Assummg most of the TA are members of the British Empire, I`m going to hazard a guess that, in the spirit of the evening, those who were aware decided to ignore it.

I suspect the local alcohol helped? Samuel Adam’s is a fine brew.

Friends and family at the Haiti game complaining that the queuing system for the exit to train back to Boston was 2hrs long and dangerous with some fans having to scale walls to avoid being crushed 😳
