Munn was recalled by Rangers in February and then went on loan to Forfar.

According to transfermarkt Callum Ward has very rarely worn No 1 in his career. That might be why Oxborough has that number at Motherwell.

I wouldn`t read too much into squad numbers to be honest, Mehmet was #1 for us last season I think?
I can`t see Ox going from 3rd choice to 1st, and I reckon after doing so well for us he`ll want to be playing first team football somewhere, we`ll see

Ox has had other offers after his Scottish cup heroics v Falkirk but the club is still in discussions to sign him and also get Mullen in…he’s not accepted any offer yet so🤞🤞

Why would hearts give a 43 year old a new deal to then loan him out. Makes no sense whatsoever

Could be any number of reasons - they might have longer term plans for him beyond the next 6-12 months, they might want an experienced keeper on their books that they can recall when needed, they might not want him being signed up by a rival etc etc etc

No doubt the club is actively looking to bring in another keeper, and dependent on the JCM outcome, at least one central defender. As others have said, we probably need another 3 or 4 for a squad capable of winning the league and progressing in cup competitions. Ultimately we need players who want to be there.

Hopefully Ox comes back. He looked a steady pair of hands.
Gordon would be a good leader and role model for the younger players too if he came in. Must still be decent if he’s in the national squad ahead of the likes of Bain.

im sure Oxborough will be the number 1 target but the club cannot wait forever and more so when its a player who might not be available.

Maybe more to the Craig Gordon thing than just playing though. Might be looking to have him as back up and a coaching role. Don’t know if he’s done his coaching badges, if not then it could be a mutual benefit arrangement.
Let’s be honest goalie situation in Scotland is an absolute joke, where is all the Jim Leighton, Andy goram, Alan Magregor’s …. We generally have had decent keepers here as well as developing loan goalies. Think it’s time we found the next Scottish gem

Try closer to 8 or 9. I think today showed how sparse the squad is and that a number of the youngsters on the fringes, need more time.
