Not quite as good as Bergkamp`s goal back in `98 but similar. Killing the ball over the shoulder dead and then flicking it home before the keeper can react. Magical.

Argentina look as though they are treating this as a training match - far too slow in their build-up, IMO. I hope they get caught on the break (even if it would mess up my prediction league forecast!)

Not to be from Cape Verde but they played four matches of ninety minutes, two of them against the European and World Champions and didn`t lose any of them. From a Scotland point of view we certainly didn`t have an easy group but this small African nation has shown that an indomitable spirit can go a long way to bridging a gulf in class.
And although my eyes were open

I think Argentina`s attitude was all wrong - they played as if all they had to do was turn up, win the game easily and go back to their hotel. By the time they realised the danger they didn`t seem able to raise the pace, and by the end they were hanging on.
Enormous credit to Cape Verde, I so wanted the match to go to penalties.
