So in the semi final of the world cup England will be having to face one of Egypt, Switzerland or Columbia! Extraordinary. Yes I`m taking it for granted that they`ll get past Norway.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Messi has just been parody of his former self in this game. The brain is still there but the legs aren`t working anymore.

Egypt completely went to pieces last ten minutes or so, some awful defending and decision making.

Argentina had numerous chances earlier on, and blew
them. Then 2 goals down, you saw why they are world
champions. Winning mentally with a never say die
attitude, you have to admire them.

Thatβs the poorest Iβve ever seen Messi. Age catches up with everyone.
The more matches he plays, the wearier he becomes.
Scaloni isnβt able to rest him as the matches are so tight.
It`s bloody tough being a legend

still managed to score the equaliser.

They want the entire refereeing team from the game kicked out the tournament. I wonder if we.re going to get more of these appeals after Trump`s call to Infantino resulted in Balogun`s punishment being suspended?

I think Egypt have a point.
The `foul` on Salah prior to the Argentina winner was pretty much the same as the `foul` on Martinez that led to Egypt`s disallowed 2nd.
The difference was that the incident with Salah was in the box so apparently attracts a `higher threshold`, than the foul on Martinez, so the `same` thing was a foul in one case, and wasn`t a foul in another because of the LOCATION of the foul, not the foul itself.
There`s nothing in the laws of the game about fouls in different places having different thresholds, so Egypt have been screwed by the `interpretation`.

Sorry bandy but the fouls on Martinez was nothing like the Salah incident.
The one on Martinez was a clear foul.
The one on Salah was a good tackle by Alvarez then Salah made contact with him.
All the big decisions in the game were called correctly.
Even Salah came out after the game to say the refereeing decisions were called correctly.

How nice was Mo Salah in the interview after the game. Heightened tensions, high stress, all of those things and how well he spoke.
Very impressed with how well he talked to the media.
