I would like to reiterate my thanks to Brian and his team for the work they have done over the years with ParsTV. It has been invaluable in keeping supporters like me in touch with the club and, being able to watch the games on a Saturday when travelling. Its was a vital service for people like me to keep in touch with my boyhood club having watched the Pars with my late father from the age of 10.

I`m the same regards Brian, I used parsTV for donkeys years ( I`m now back in Scotland) and it has been really excellent, I can`t imagine not watching the games, and I was able to watch home and away.
I`ve watched in some weird places, on remote beaches, etc. and the quality was always really good. Whenever there were issues Brian was really helpful.
I will be sorry to see him and the team go- I also liked the commentary.
Farewell and enjoy actually just watching the Pars!

These updates are a great addition.
Yes,sometimes they just confirm what was already a strong impression but this current one is informative and adresses a lot of the questions voiced on here.
In the past it has often felt lke an "us and them" mentality but these monthly overviews have great tone and it helps bridge that gap between the club and supporters.

Hybrid pitches aren’t that far off a normal grass pitch, there is a matrix layer added that the grass grows through that keeps everything more stable.
From the sounds of things the known problematic areas will have this but most of the pitch will be as is, it’s not going to be the same in full than what’s at Celtic park, Murrayfeild etc, these are several million each to install

I think a few guys missed the key word which is PARTIAL - obviously hybrid pitches are long established but a full hybrid pitch is beyond Pars financial means.
“Many supporters will be aware of the challenges we`ve experienced over recent seasons, particularly along the South Stand touchline, where limited sunlight has affected grass growth during the winter months and contributed to fixture postponements.
To help address this, hybrid reinforcement has now been installed in these problem areas, along with both goalmouths. We hope this investment will significantly improve the resilience of the playing surface throughout the season and reduce the issues we`ve experienced in the past.”
My curiosity is how it works at joins when weather gets wet and muddy although I’m sure it’s well proven, I just hadn’t heard of just parts of a pitch being done in hybrid before but if it deals with the problem area main stand side it can only be a worthwhile investment

The hybrid turf is in the areas that get the least sun or most wear. The plastic element is a small amount but it holds the grass together better. It`ll just look like the rest of the pitch.

Hybrid pitches are around 95% grass. From a spectators perspective and in terms of how the ball moves/bounces on the pitch, it is no different to a grass pitch. It’s still mud underneath and the grass around the artificial parts still grows.
The concept behind hybrid pitches is that there should be less divots/grass being pulled up over the course of a game, as the artificial parts will take most of the ‘damage’ caused by studs, rather than roots of the grass being dug up. It should improve the longevity of these parts of the pitch as the season goes on.
There is no different surface underneath and the grass will be the same as the non-hybrid parts. So I can’t see why there would be any issues regarding a partial hybrid surface.

Does a hybrid pitch a big massive slide tackle in the middle of a wet winter day 😂.
When I played football, an injury caused by jarring your studs on an object in the ground could cause back injuries as it could twist your body out of position. I am assuming that the hybrid surface is much lower that what I describe cannot happen. Need to do a bit of reading up!

As above, you won`t even be able to tell. Hibs is one of the best in the country, it can be very expensive and time consuming to replace though if a flair etc hits it
