The beauties of Pars TV were that it was legit, easy to use, reliable, a good place to go to from England for video and audio of Pars matches.
What now? I`m not gonna use dodgy stuff, so there`s nothing for me. The dafc.net website section `Live` is about as useful as a handset tae a haddie.
Who does the system serve now? An admin group?

It’s still ParsTV. It’s just been rebranded. It’s the same people involved (-1 and a new commentator). It’s the same equipment as before. The difference for the club is it’s a new platform to showcase it.

Where`s the audio stream for folk like me stuck in England?
As for the rebranding - what`s the purpose of it? Are you sure it`s not just been subbed out for the sake of more digitalisation and different auto-processors at the expense of user-friendliness?

Rebranding just changes the name.
There’s no audio only anymore, which is a shame tbh.

Pars TV wasn`t without its issues either. As has been posted above, it`s essentially just a rebrand. I`m not sure why, if FawaNews can get a reliable stream, we don`t try to emulate their setup. We might not get the replays and other extras, but I`m sure most fans would rather have a basic, smooth stream than a jittery one that`s barely watchable.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Why should I give flying fek what you think? I posted my complaint, it`s nothing to do with you because you can get live stream - okay - Mr AdamAntsPANTSstripe?
And, sacktheref - you can have your smooth stream. What`s that got to do with me wanting audio?
Why can folk in foreign countries get video and I can`t? I can never get to EEP, or anywhere in Scotland, for matches. I would gladly pay for video if I could get it. I would gladly pay for audio if I could get it. Why am I discriminated against just because I live in the UK and not overseas? Is DAFC supposed to be inclusive?
What service do they provide for folk who, for health reasons, can never get to matches? What do blind folk do, on a Pars match day, if they live in the UK? As far as I can tell Radio West Fife doesn`t provide commentary either.
Any useful suggestions, or is no-one else capable of thinking this is a particular problem for a particular sector of Pars fans?

It`s more than a pity Buffy. Put yourself in the position - lifelong Pars fan - can`t get to matches any more for reasons of health and distance - a new season arrives full of promise - can`t get live stream, then - deafening silence.

According to that great bastion of truth - AI -
`The club took back full control of its streaming services from ParsTV to transition to a new internal digital upgrade. The text rules state that domestic UK/Ireland fans are officially promised audio-only coverage for domestic competitive matches. However, the payment options and layout for domestic listeners are still being rolled out.`
--------------------------
That seems to suggest that audio-only IS coming.
I wonder why the club couldn`t post - `Audio-only is coming`?
Well I better not post any more about it because it upsets some folk who feel duty bound to enlighten others with their sage counsel.

Vent your frustrations with the SFA and Ofcom, they are the authorities that restrict broadcasting rights. Perhaps the Saturday 3pm protected rights is past its sell by date. The restrictions were relaxed during the pandemic so it can be done. Subscription services is an ideal way to expand the support and unlikely to impact significantly on attendances. Mind you who would travel to Inverness in the depths of Winter anyway!

I get the point in the black out as was put in so people still went to their local games but I would like to know the percentage of people that genuinely would watch the tv if a game was on tv watch instead of going to the local game with the team you support (especially now where your probably taking money off that team by not letting them stream the game) as we seen when we were competing with the semi final of the World Cup for the league cup game we don’t usually have a good attendance for them but it was probably roughly about the same as any other season

There was a 34% increase in the crowd against cove than against dumbarton.
Granted a free to watch World Cup semifinal is one of the hardest televised games to go up against but then again midweek league cup crowds are your most loyal reliable supporters and we still lost a very high proportion of them to tv.

To be fair it`s s nightmare now
Not on YouTube, on pars website. But you haven`t register, which is a farce, why does it need a phone number, when you log in the location disappears, but if you hunt it`s somewhere else on the site. When i watch on my ipad. I can`t maximise screen to full size.
Come let`s do better than this.

I agree Bear,
the new website is a failure. (Is that the hounds I hear baying for me now?)
Previously it was bright and easy to use, now its dull and the images and backgrounds clash. I`ve got a Fine Art degree, i.e. a bit of a trained eye - even if I didn`t, I`d still say it`s aesthetically poor. The black and maroon backgrounds might be an attempt at a sophisticated look but they clash with the images and far from looking impressive and cutting edge, they make it dull. And that`s just the appearance. Together with the way it`s supposed to work, it`s as if it`s been put together by a student doing a project on a two-year website design course. (It has! Well - there ye go.)
But why should anyone give a flying fek for what I think? Exactly! Come on ye hounds!

I agree with many of the comments above about the new club website and DAFC Live. The new website is a bit of a dog`s breakfast and needs a tidy-up. I hardly know where to start—but if I had to pick a starting point, I`d begin with the type size—which is far too large, causing many items—player details, for instance—to spill out of their allocated spaces.
RECOMMENDATION: Reduce type size.
The Accessibility Menu is confusing. My instinctive thought was, "Ahhhh, this is a shortcut to a direct conversation with someone at the club or DAFC Live." But no. Instead, it took me to a menu to adjust colour backgrounds and so forth. All very worthy, but not what the punter needs when urgently seeking a connection to the live stream at five to three on a Saturday afternoon. All that stuff is really a web design tool, not something the individual user should need to concern themself with.
RECOMMENDATION: Replace the Accessibility Menu button with a Contact Us button—and have it manned at least 20 minutes prior to the match.
Turning specifically to the DAFC Live menu. Click on the page and you get Game Stream information at the top, followed by a menu which comprises—BROWSE, CATEGORIES, LIVE, FAQS, and SUBSCRIPTIONS. Not all the tabs in CATEGORIES work, so drop that as it comes up again soon afterwards.
Below that, you get a video section called FEATURES. This is old material—the most recent being from our Bulgarian training camp in June. It is inappropriate that these should lead our video offerings.
RECOMMENDATION: Keep things simple, timely and relevant. Dump the FEATURES section. And lead with the next section, which effectively repeats the contents of CATEGORIES above.
This encompasses: FULL MATCH HIGHLIGHTS, JUST THE GOALS, PRE MATCH INTERVIEWS, POST MATCH INTERVIEWS, STORY OF THE MATCH, FEATURES, THE GAMES ROOM, and CLUB NEWS. This is the meat in the sandwich!
But then we have three more sections, which repeat the process! POST MATCH INTERVIEWS, STORY OF THE MATCH and MATCH HIGHLIGHTS. Why?
RECOMMENDATION: Dump the repeated sections.
This is just a quick summary of what I see as the main flaws in the site. In essence, it just needs to be simplified.

I can think of two reasons why the club asks for phone number during site registration.
a. It would make it easier if the club needed to introduce two-factor authentication (2FA).
b. It gives a handle on overseas Pars fans (total numbers and numbers per country).

Oz par about the accessibility I don’t know if they legally need to have it on websites and stuff now because you can see them everywhere now for people without any learning difficulties might be seen as a inconvenience but it’s a lifeline to the people that do need it.
The only thing I would add is that websites aren’t built over night there will be changes to it especially over this season to make it better have a look at any website 5 years ago and it’s definitely different they need something to build on and it is a good start I would say it probably is a step back form the one last season but maybe in the future it will be better

I wasn`t a fan of the previous website, but this one is an absolute dog`s dinner.
It looks like it has been given to a kid to run riot, with different font sizes, and information in strange places
This is 2026, there is no need for strange navigation, give it to a professional to tidy up please.
I can`t think of why they need a phone number. The IP gives what you need to know.

This bothers me when I see it too.
They seem to be feeding out individual goal replays quite quickly on social media and this comes later as a `full` replay. Still doesn`t sit right.

It`s certainly annoying that matches don`t appear automatically on the club`s YouTube page. The match highlights from the League Cup games were on the channel, in a "match highlights" playlist, but the Inverness highlights aren`t there as yet.

The YouTube channel is monetised and making about £300 a month, so not a lot.
Are they thinking they might make more revenue driving views to the website and having the videos on YouTube (Somewhere)? They can also gather personal data to target or sell on (I`ve not read the fine print).
Certainly less convenient, and will result in less views. Its a very antiquated way of doing things.

The videos are there but you have to scroll right down to the bottom.
They have playlists from this season and previous.
The communication from the club is really bad I must say.

If you look at the videos from this season on YouTube you`ll notice underneath the title there`s a tag saying "unlisted". This means it won`t be found by searching but can still be watched by anyone with the link.
Why it`s been done this way I don`t know. I initially thought it was because it`s not ParsTV`s own generated content but not so sure now. Maybe it was part of the agreement between ParsTV and DAFClive? "You can have them but make them hard to find". If so, that seems a bit daft and petty.
Anyway, all it needs is for someone to change the status from unlisted to public and they`ll appear where we`d expect to find them.

I tend to agree about the layout of ParsTV but in my opinion functionality was more important than anything. Work is ongoing with a designer ho review and improve the layout, with the help and guidance of clubs
The club moved to a different OTT platform which handles payments, logins, access etc
I also did a layout for Video On Demand
