Sources: The New England Revolution are loaning midfielder Allan Oyirwoth to Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic FC through May 31, 2027, with an option for a permanent transfer.
The 19-year-old Ugandan midfielder has spent the majority of his time developing with New England Revolution II, while also making first-team appearances for the first team in MLS and the U.S. Open Cup.

Why make boring merry go round championship signings when you can bring in random guys like this? Hopefully can be a good addition to the midfield as we`re definitely short there.

According to `Blazing Musket`a website covering football in New England the loan move is being reported by `multiple sources`.They say -
`The Ugandan has primarily been with Revs II this season. He has made 15 appearances and scored just one goal. The teenager was supposed to be the next young star to rise through the ranks with New England but since the arrival of Marko Mitrovic, he has struggled to command a place in the first team.`

One report says a years loan with an option to make it permanent. If true then a good bit security for the club going forward if the move works out well.

His Scottish visa has been secured;
his work permit is still pending;
New England, Dunfermline, FUFA and his representatives have all been involved in completing the process.

Apparently, it`s easier to get a work permit if a player has been capped at international level, so if that`s true, I don`t see any issues with securing a permit.

As signing rumours go, being linked with a `wonderkid` must be right up there in terms of excitement? Up there with a former player returning that went on to play at a really high level.
I`m just ignoring the fact the label is only on one video probably created by his agent or mum...

The conditions he currently plays in;
Winters: Cold and freezing, with average lows dipping below 0°C, frequent snowstorms, and chilly winds affecting early-season matches.
Summers: Warm to hot and humid, with peak July temperatures near 28°C and occasional intense summer thunderstorms.
Spring & Autumn: Mild transition periods, though spring can bring lingering chill and autumn features crisp, cool conditions ideal for soccer.

I`m also a bit wary of "wonder kids", guys like Freddy Adu, Islam Feruz, even the likes of Victor Wanyama and his brother. Totally dominate in kids football, playing like men against boys, then drop away when they are actually playing against men. Wanyama`s brother was actually a lot older than they said, possibly the same with Victor too, given that he was pretty much knackered by the time he left Spurs at 29

He was linked with Chelsea, Athletico Madrid, Aston Villa and Celtic at the end of last year.
Looks like it could be a fantastic signing.
Bit like Caceres, the loan would open up a senior roster spot and an international slot for New England Revolution which might partly explain the load deal. He’s been playing for the New England Revolution II team, although has made a few appearances for the senior team.
Sounds too good to be true, and that there should be bigger clubs interested so have to ask what the catch is. Anyway we need a midfielder so hope this is true and that the he proves to be a super talent.

His spell at Brooke House College and Academy in Leicester gave him significant exposure to English scouts—the academy has links with professional clubs and regularly hosts scouts—but there is no evidence that any particular club submitted an offer. There was a rumour he turned down European clubs to go to the US but it was just a rumour.

Compared with the UK football pyramid, the standard of a strong MLS NEXT Pro team like New England Revolution II is often considered roughly comparable to the upper end of the National League or League Two, with the very best individuals capable of playing at a higher level. The emphasis, however, is on developing young talent rather than winning championships.

Yeah do wonder if he is as good as people are indicating why is Dunfermline the destination but the highlight reel looks promising, if it’s true that bigger clubs have sniffed about him then it does indicate there is talent there - we don’t need him to be a world beater and could be more than capable of competing in the Championship.
Not really a risk either giving we loan him with option to buy.

“Allan’s a player I’ve known about for maybe six to eight months,” explained Lennon. “He’s sort of stalled a little bit at New England, but I’ve looked at him and we’ve had good reports on him.
“He came to my attention a while back and I know there was a bit of interest in him.
“But it’s sort of all stalled a little bit because he hasn’t been playing a lot.
“So, the opportunity came up to take him and we had no hesitation because he brings something different to what we’ve got.
“We’ve got plenty of ‘sixes’ and we did have last year as well. He’s more of a running midfield player.
“He’s more of an attacking eight. We have a shortage of them, really. I’m happy with the midfield players we’ve got, but he’ll bring something a little bit different, hopefully.
“He’s well thought of. Like I said, his career stalled a little bit but this may put him back in the shop window for a lot of clubs.
“But, for us, there’s an opportunity to loan him and then maybe buy him. So, we’ll see how it goes.”
A Ugandan playing in the MLS does not seem like an obvious target for Dunfermline in the Scottish Championship.
However, with the aid of owners Park Bench’s football consultant, John Colquhoun, Lennon is delighted to have got a deal over the line.
“Just through agents and networking and obviously speaking to people,” he said of how Oyirwoth came to his attention. “John Colquhoun knew of him as well.
“So, when his name popped up, we were quite keen on the idea and, thankfully, John’s made it happen.
“We’ll assess him. He’ll not be ready for the weekend, obviously, but he’s been playing games, so I don’t think we’ll have too many problems with fitness levels.”
