Ox..... if someone had scored twice they would have been MoM and he had the same impact.
Abdulai did have a very good game though.
Great to get the season started, especially against that mob.

Oxborough was great. SCH was great against Dowds. Cooper and Tod excellent off the bench.
Ox MOTM though, that save in the first half absolute class. Can`t believe he was third choice at Well - they must have some set of keepers....

I think Ox.
Abdulai, Lobban, SCH, Fraser all very good.
Amade & Oyerwoth were fine.
Bray - Excellent first 30-40 minutes or so then disappeared second half.
Adams - Meh
Rudden & Morrison - honking

That save from Oxborough in the first half was huge.
Both centre backs and Lobban looked really good as well for me.

Great saves from Ox. Abdulai was immense. Amade had 2 or 3 loose passes, but was fantastic other than that and never hid. Fraser was up for it and worked his socks off. Oyiworth (sp?) was also excellent.
The final third was mostly not up to much until Tod and Cooper came on.
The MOM choice was definitely between Lobban and SCH for me. Lobban was excellent going forwards and coped well with having to do Morrison`s job for him too. I`d give it to SCH though. He fought hard all night and won almost every battle. He never shirked a challenge and his forward runs clearly had the Rovers on the ropes.
It looks to me like the defence might start to pick itself from now on. I love seeing Abdulai and SCH (and John Tod) taking the ball on and making chances. Those attacking defenders could be real game changers for us this year, especially if the strikers are a bit goal shy.

Yes Abdulai was great tonight. Amade was excellent with the ball at his feet and clsing down the opposition but his distribution was a bit off at times. Of course the Ox made that miracle save. And yes Cooperfor the goal so well taken and Andy Todd looked like a new player when he came on. Maybe a full game is too much for Andy because he sometimes fades very badly.

Abdulai for me. Apart from the one challenge that gave them a dangerous free kick, he was immense.
Superb timing both in the air and on the ground and puts his body on the line wherever he’s playing on the park.
OX had a quite wonderful save and another good one second half but their keeper was arguably better all in all

I thought Adams showed some very good touches and some good play on the ball. Definitely a player in there. Abdulai was outstanding, as was Sam Cl-H and Ox. Great night.

Wee eck i though Tod was really dangerous coming off the bench yesterday, perhaps at this stage of his development he’d benefit from coming off the bench a a bit more against tired legs espech in the games against big physical teams where he tends to struggle.
Would say that’s the same for cooper, you get more space and opportunities coming off the bench in games which are getting stretched. I’d give cooper a start in the next game and let’s see what he can do, would say he’s earned another shot.
We didn’t lose the midfield yesterday, I hope that puts to bed the 2 strikers with a number 10 close in behind for while!

Has to be Ox.
I’m going to come out and say getting him is honestly our best signing in the last 10 years, so important to have him.
Not been this comfortable with a goalkeeper for us since the Paul Gallacher days

I don`t think we`ll ever agree about Tod, Berkey. I wouldn`t say his performance benefited from playing against tired legs and minds. Both teams can make up to 5 outfield subs so there`s plenty scope to freshen things up.
Tod is an intelligent footballer who knows how to hurt teams and vary the play so why delay that until late in the game? He`s now being played effectively as a left winger but at least he made a better job of that than Rudden because he`s a better all-round footballer. If we just have one striker the midfield`s got to support him. Oyirwoth may grow into that role.

I think our back 4 are very good. Keith Bray needs a run of games to come on a bit, but he has certainly developed as a player over the last 2 years. We are strong in the midfield its remains the forward positions wher I think we are not direct enough. That takes pace and strength.

Lobban, SCH, Abdulai and Oyirwoth all had really good games, but I feel Ox deserved MoM for 2 crucial saves to keep us in the game.

I was really pleased at how physical the Pars were last night. Raith have a lot of experience especially in their back line and it was great to see them on their backs or holding their heads for a change. Dowds looked like he’d gone 10 rounds with Tyson at the end of the game. The Pars desperately need a regular goal scorer to get out of this league and that certainly isn’t Rudden but to his credit he worked those defenders hard last night and they’ll be feeling the knocks this morning. One positive for Raith is that Tiffoney with his pace looks like he could cause a few problems in the championship. Great 3 points for the Pars.
Mom for me was the Ox two fantastic saves at key moments in the game.
