That really has brightened my day
He adds to what we have but he really does look like he loves the club.

Oooft! What a window we`ve had by the way. Wonder if Ngwenya and Chilokoa-Mullen are sitting there thinking that their bank balance looks healthy but they could have stayed and been part of something. They`ve both barely played while we`re getting the gang back together.

This has made my day. I know we can`t just base him on that one game against Aberdeen but if he keeps that up he will do just fine!

We have some real options up front now. Compare that to not so long ago when we were relying on an injury prone Chris Kane and little else. We have a really strong squad now. Turley is a good addition also. Just need them all to gel and make this the year to return to the top tier.

The power, pace and energy of Adams and Thomas with Kane and Tod to come on should be massive for us.

I think his physical strength and pace are just what we need at times in this league and beyond. He can press, run channels etc. He was just adjusting to the league when he picked up his injury. He knows the league, knows most of the players so really good news. A 12 month contract probably suits him so we can see where we are at the end of the season. Bristol City obviously thought enough of him to give him a 2-1/2 year extension. At 21 he needs regular first team football to move on to the next level. You coukd see improvement in him in the 10 games he played for us. Not a prolific goal scorer but with game time and coaching, hopefully that will change.

Ooooft, that’s a cracking signing. He really looked he was coming onto a game before he got injured. He’s some unit!

Interesting to see how he gets on.
My jury is still out a bit on him. He didn`t score in the league last year, and actually didn`t get a huge amount of time on the pitch, although he was impressive in the Aberdeen game.
Hopefully competition in the squad will help everybody improve. I suspect the gaffer has his work cut out to keep folk happy, but I`m sure he`s been smart enough to only keep folks who won`t cause problems.

Our new formation is going to be:
Goalkeeper: Oxborough
Defender: Abdulai
Forwards: Morrison, Bray, Shaw, Thomas, Adams, Kane, Cooper, Tod, Ruddock
Should be exciting ...

I see him as a work in progress but the Scottish Championship is probably a good standard for his development. He still had two years to run on his contract at Bristol so presumably we paid a decent fee for his services. NL must have seen enough of him last season to think he could improve him for the mutual benefit of the club and the player.

Not starting anything here, did a few not say he didnt want to come back? Or was that true at the point in time, or was it always nonsense?

Good to see him back and hopefully the Aberdeen game wasn’t a flash in the pan. Loads of options up front now. Surely someone else will leave…?
Bit concerned that we have paid a fee for someone who can leave for nowt next season……..Promotion really is a must now…..
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Does anyone have any info on how he bounced back from the injury when he was down the road?
On paper a great signing but seems strange considering ( I think ) he just signed a contract extension before coming here on loan last season.

^^ hes not long back from the injury, 2 sub appearances for the u21s but wasnt in their squad for the game last weekend.
when Lennon was quoted about another forward it was pretty obvious it was Thomas he was talking about without naming him, might take him a bit of time to get going but hopefully he can pick up from when he left. i dont see this having an affect on the other forwards apart from Macleod who was likely to go out on loan anyway, if someone else goes then they would need replaced imo.

I heard that we tried to sign him at the start of the window and agreed terms with Bristol but the player turned it down. I suspect that simply meant he wanted to consider other options and, if it took the length of the window for him to change his mind, so what? Most deals done during a transfer window probably have a lengthy gestation period when you consider the number of variables which can affect the outcome.

The forward has signed a one-year deal at KDM Group East End Park, with the Club holding an option to extend.

There playing at bigger clubs, earning more money and in arguably better leagues whilst experiencing new competitions etc. FA cup they could be playing at Liverpool, Utd, City with a bit of luck.
Why swap that for championship games here? Even if we win the league the Scottish Premiership players are all working to move south.

The club hold the option to extend. So he can’t leave for free if we don’t want him to.
