I personally think they should only be allowed in league 1 and 2.
What do other posters think?

Why?
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Stenny hires theirs out for community use, and have been doing so for years.

There is a hybrid version that the pars installed under the main stand and in the goalkeeper/penalty area during pre season.

Yeah but it`s still almost all real grass!
Most of the plastic is underground to protect the roots and stop the pitch cutting up badly.

Well they aren`t as bad quality as our grass pitch a couple seasons ago.
Clubs in the 2bd tier of Scottish football have a limited budget! Of course they should be allowed to have artificial grass if they want it. Stenny has a number of teams playing on it, the Rovers can train on theirs- saves hiring facilities.
If Alloa get promoted (a pitch which has any number of kids teams playing it) you think they should rip it up and replace with grass? At a cost of, what a million quid?

We all know the facts.
We`ll just have to agree to disagree.

And that`s part of the problem. They aren`t looked after correctly and get over used

Raith changed theirs close season, previous park was terrible.
All age groups of Raith girls play and train on it regularly.
