A chance for England`s players to show that they, rather than Argentina, should have contested the WC Final, and if they win, they can claim to be moral World Champions......

Spain are very incisive. The`ve cut the English defence open about 7 times. If it was 7-2 to Spain that wouldn`t flatter them on this performance.

I`m still baffled as to why the penalty was given. . .he was on his way down before any contact was made imo 🤷♂️

Never seen the pen. Was it Kane? If it was, he`s a master of doing it.

The 3-2 defeat for England, flattered them.
Spain should have scored at few more. Another 2 at least

I’m amazed VAR stepped in on that penalty incident, and even more amazed the referee looked at it with his allegedly functional eyeballs and thought that was anything other than a yellow card for simulation. Baffling.

No doubt the English media will say that England would have won if Kane had converted it, but it was never a penalty, and justice was done when he missed it. Bellingham is undoubtedly a very talented footballer, but he`s also a diving bassa and comes across as a right bawheid.
I enjoyed the game. England played their part, but they were always second best, and it would have been a total travesty if the final result had been anything other than a Spanish victory. They had the chance to emulate Scotland at Wembley in 1967 and beat the WC holders and they fluffed it - with home advantage, too. 😁

Just watched the highlights. If that’s a pen then I am the Popes aunty. How a ref can look at that - knowing that Bellingham is a diving bassa ( he done one in FH at edge of box) is beyond belief.
Issuing Red cards/15 mins sin bin for diving in the box will stop it. He is a really dislike able individual.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

It`s because the the two angles that the ref was shown make it look like a penalty. The angle that we`re all seeing today clearly shows Bellingham salmon leaping over Rodri`s foot. Having said that it was a careless attempt to win the ball by the Spaniard, very unlike him.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Absolutely loved him at BVB, but he`s definitely become a bit of a knob since going to Madrid.

Not that I condone it, he`s definitely changed for the worse but I think most 23 year olds would making £350k a week.

Tuchel won`t last long. The interviews last night post match were very prickly to say the least. The media down south really do believe theyre entitled to a major tournament win. Completely missing the point that you need to win games against the best teams.

"It`s because the the two angles that the ref was shown make it look like a penalty. "
and from all the angles shown the ref in his initial position had the best view of everyone
