Superb first half. Only missing a goal. Dominated from the off. Playing some great football, until the final pass or shot.

Everyone seems to be on form so far. Amade immense as ever. Lobban looking great at the back and going forward (he`s as good as Jackie MacNamara I think).
Nuru and Cleall Harding have to be the best central defenders in this division.
Just need the shooting boots on/things to click up front/etc.

Incredibly frustrating watch. Far too many crosses with no Pars player close to getting it, predictable patterns of play going forward, too slow too often...but also a few great chances that have to be put away.
Finishing is chronic throughout the team just now. Completely owned that game and still didn`t get 3 points or a goal in open play.

Get the feeling we didn’t get it right with recruitment upfront in the summer. Has Adam’s ever scored a senior goal? Tod needs rested as not contributing anything and shaw benched quickly and Kane generally struggling for fitness.
Thomas never scored in the league for us last year but if he doesn’t score goals who’s going to score for us to give us a chance of top 3?
The happy clappers will be on to say we had more corners and shots than them but as is happening on most games, we’ve not got anything upfront to make it count.

There is no doubt that we have to find a way to turn our dominance of games into goals. This has been the pattern all season. We have a stronger squad than last season and better than most teams we come up against but we have to find the keys to unlock the doors of these teams. It is up to Neil to find those keys, either with different personnel, different formations, different tactics or whatever.

Andy Tod hasn`t scored in 6 league games ( last goal was against Ayr).
Ollie Shaw has drawn a blank in 5 league appearances.
Chris Kane has drawn a blank in 7 league games.
Zak Rudden has drawn a blank in 6 league appearances.
Cooper has 3 goals in 7 appearances, and then we drop down to Lobban, who has 1 goal in 5 appearances.
That makes for grim reading. Our strikers just can`t seem to buy a goal, and without Cooper, we`d be in deep trouble.
A draw away from home isn`t a terrible result, but yet again, it`s another game where our strikers haven`t scored.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

It`s been a wholly uninspiring season so far. At the back of my mind I`m thinking that the team and the football they play, isn`t any better than the one Stevie Crawford left. I`m really surprised, and disappointed, that Lennon hasn`t addressed what seems clear to me, the lack of experience, and leadership in the squad. They have brought in plenty of potential but really need guys (like that Kevin Holt for Ayr) with a bit guts and nous to help them.
It does feel like they are creating plenty of chances though, maybe one of these games the floodgates will open.

If we are striving for promotion this year then we have to accept that our results are nowhere near good enough.
3 wins in 8 league games and clutching at the coat tails of the teams above.
Scored 7 goals the same as Morton and Arbroath. Only QP have scored less!
Had lots of time to resolve the striking problem - most of the teams in the league are scoring goals so why are we not?? Has NL run out of ideas?? Even without the guys like Thomas and Shaw we should be scoring.
Big frustrated rant above 👆!! Getting depressed with this!!

I`m not a happy clapper Berkey, but some of the football we played today was fantastic. Their keeper pulled off two really good saves and Admas missed a sitter when it was easier to score. Bigger question for me is what happened at their goal. We are weak at aet plays. I think that goal spooked us and it took us an age to get back into the gane.

We seem to play some decent stuff, but if we can`t score from our chances, it`s always going to be a growing concern. I would be more worried if we weren`t creating chances, but we really need to start scoring and turning 1 point into 3.
If we don`t get promoted this season, I would be concerned about how long the bord team will be happy to write off million pound plus losses before they look to offload us. I`m not looking to scaremonger anyone, but that`s just how I see it.

It`s not difficult to diagnose the problem but a lot harder to come up with a cure. The league table is a bit skewed at the moment. We`ve only played 8 games and only 3 have been at home and we`re well into October. We`ll have a better idea where we stand at the halfway stage when hopefully everyone will have played 18 games.

Evidently we`re doing something right, dominating games but not converting that dominance into goals. It`s particularly frustrating given the wide open nature of the league this time round.
There are teams well above us who I`m confident we are way better than but you can`t keep giving away points like we have done a few times in the 8 league games.
Big two home games coming up,hopefully we can convert opportunities and make a statement of intent.

Dominating games but the strikers need to put the ball in the back of the net. Plenty of opportunities to score but not clinical. It should have been 3 and out of sight at half time

Defensively we are sound, midfield is quality the only reason we aren’t gonna win the league is the fact our strikers aren’t good enough.
Ideally getting some out on loan in January and get some folk in who know how to actually score.
Missing a goal scorer is the only thing missing from this squad, perhaps Olly Thomas will be the man.

The fact is there aren`t many prolific scorers in the Championship. Robbie Muirhead is top with 7, which must include a few pens, and Josh Cooper is next with 4 which will include today`s pen. After that there are four players with 3 each.
Rather than finding the `magic bullet`of one striker to turn things round we should be looking at getting supporting players and the midfield to contribute some goals. There must be drills players can practise to develop their skills but converting chances is often a mental problem rather than mastering a technique or getting into the right positions. I think it`s been suggested before but maybe we should get someone like Stevie Crawford in to do some coaching. He wasn`t an out-and-out striker but he converted a fair percentasge of the chances he got.

What’s the point of dominating games if we can’t score?!
Even when at Morton it took a long range strike from Lobban, chances we missed there were criminal, same again today.
Our forward players have been awful this season so far and really letting down the rest of the team.
Some of these chances are easy, you don’t need to be a professional footballer to put some of them away.

Lennon has to take some of the blame as he’s assembled this squad of attacking players.
Adams missed two and McLeod one absolute sitters, you have to score these.

Could be worth sticking Charlie Gilmour back in the team - he and Amade were a great partnership and seemed to link better with the strikers.
It is strange with the Pars how many proven goal scorers we recruit from other clubs that seem to struggle to do the business with us...

A long way to go in the season but we absolutely must start converting our chances. Autumn/Winter period is key in this league with more injuries and suspensions for all teams ahead, so our squad being quite deep should hopefully help in the months ahead. Just need to start hitting the back of the net and taking the chances!

Adams 0 in 7.
Kane 0 in 7.
Shaw 0 in 5.
Rudden 0 in 6.
Morrison 0 in 4.
Tod 1 in 8.
That’s our strikers record this season in the league.
Our goals this season have came from.
Tod 1
Cooper 4
MacLeoad 1
Lobban 1
The striker situation is what’s going to cost us this season.

I don`t see what good it does restating the problem over and over again. It`s not as if the manager doesn`t recognise it.

I’d certainly be more worried if we were not making chances.
It`s bloody tough being a legend

Better off looking at minutes than matches.
Kane has 224 minutes across those 7 matches.
Quite different.

Today,s game was so frustrating chance after chance went abegging, the amount of times our front men take a touch before shooting is criminal, allowing a block to come in .most of our efforts are along the ground allowing a block or a save to be made , oh for a striker to hit the ball into the roof of the net. 14min 42 seconds in, and even has a slow motion replay......for the officials to miss that offside on Stirton who it hits to go in is as bad as our forwards finishing today and the marking/set up for defending the free kick.

Dominating games does not automatically give us 3 points, need to start scoring & soon or we are in for another disappointing season
NL has been given a large pot of money to spend & has brought in a large number of what look like quality individuals, he needs to mould them into a goal scoring unit

He has recognised it all season and it’s still the same issue happening week after week.
A lot of our strikers just aren’t good enough and that’s it.
