Lenny has been touted for Celtic, Hibs and now Leicester Job. Leicester feels more likely than Celtic or Hibs . Hypothetically, if he does depart for another club this side of Xmas who do we bring in?
Steve Clarke ? - would he come? Would we want him?
I genuinly don’t have a clue who we would plum for, Lennon appointment shocked me, so I think we are moving out of the normal names that would be associated with us.
Other suggestions ??

Issue with Steve Clarke is he lives in England.
That was obviously not a problem with Scotland job although he must have had a base in Scotland when managing Killie as Berkshire is a huge trek.
Not sure he’d entertain doing that again.

Can`t see Lenny wanting to go. I`d imagine he`s on decent money, seems to be genuinely enjoying the project and clearly enjoys Dunfermline too. He seemed to speak really well about the club at the recent event with Gordon Smart.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Would it be such a loss? We sit 5th in the championship 9 points behind the leaders. Granted we have two games in hand but we all know it’s better with points on the board. Surely we should be doing better?

Fans of every team in the League, apart from Stenny, probably think they should be `doing better`. If that was the criterion for getting rid of the manager the whole thing would be chaos. What would you consider to be acceptable after 8 games?

Failing to score more than 7 goals is hardly a sackable offence, especially if you`ve only conceded 5.

You asked what would be acceptable after 8 games. I answered that i think we should be scoring more than 7 goals. Our scoring record is 1 off being the worst in the league.
I didn’t say he should be sacked but we are currently most definitely underachieving given the money afforded to the manager this close season. In my opinion.

Definitely more than 7 goals that`s for sure.
That needs to change pretty quickly given the money spent.
I`d give David Gray a shot if Lenny goes

The grass is always greener...
A Hibs fan I know said the football was dire under David Gray and he had to go.
What did Scott Brown achieve at Fleetwood and Ayr?
Why would Steve Clarke want to manage a Scottish Championship club?
In any case, Russell Martin`s still manager of Leicester and I suspect our owners have more faith in our manager than some on here.

I would be sorry to see NL move on.he has the makings of a good squad and they look like a team who can compete in the premiershio if we can get out of this division. I hope he stays, there is still work to do.

Well the Hibs fan said he enjoyed the football they played when NL was manager and he took them back into the Premiership. I know some Celtic fans don`t rate him but he had a decent record there.
Tbh, I`m only interested in what he has done with us and I`d say `so far, so good`.

Who said about getting rid of him? I’m sure the point of the opening post was what happens if he decides to go. What would I consider acceptable? Realistically in the top two but we aren’t going to be near promotion if we can’t score more goals. Don’t get me wrong I like Lennon. I usually agree with most of what he says post match but the point I’m making is would it be such a great loss? We haven’t achieved anything yet. I’m sure other managers in the division would like the funds and squad size we have.

It would be a massive loss. In terms of achieving anything does a Scottish cup final not count🤷♂️

I’d like to think an achievement for us would be winning a trophy and not just reaching a final. Similar to teams such as St Johnstone,St Mirren, Ross county, Inverness.

I am not sure there has been a high level of spending. In any case its about value not cost. The players we have at the club are mainly development players. I see it as a dual approach; develop players who may move on to other things and develop a team around those players to gain promotion. I tgink we are at tge point where tge players ocerall are performing as a team. You can`t legislate for players missing open goals. When that gets sorted, we are promotion candidates. Tge foundation is tgere. We have dominated in most games this season.
