Morrison and Shaw have trained all week and are both available for tomorrow but Kearney picked up a knock against QP and probably needs a scan.
Olly Thomas`s rehabilitation is going well and he should be available after the international break but Freddie Turley`s has hit a snag which may delay his fuĺl recovery.
No mention of John Tod.

Think Kearney got injured almost immediately after coming on after a heavy tackle. Nae luck.
Was looking forward to seeing Turley soon. Looks like that will have to wait…. Hopefully not too long..
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Is it right that after this weekend, it is a 3 week break from football. Except Scotland of course.

Hopefully we don’t get a little rusty during the break because the three games right after are Ayr away, Partick at Home and Livi at home. Really need to be looking at 7 points from these games.

I’d imagine we’ll have at least one bounce game against a premiership side that don’t have many away.

NL must read this forum. He hints in his interview on COWS that he might arrange a bounce game to maintain the match fitness of the players who aren`t away on international duty.

Welllll Buspasspar, if you are going to bring songs into it, then AC/DC, “Big Balls” & “And my balls are always bouncing”. Absolutely no double entendre.

Sticking with the Aussie theme, kids entertainers, The Wiggles, have a song called Bouncing Balls - was the childs favourite by them 😂

Mixed news from the recent scans; Shea Kearney was allowed to join the NI under-21 squad but Freddie Turley`s scan of inflammation of the groin suggested he won`t be available for the Ayr game after the international break.

Allan Oyirwoth is a doubt for Saturday after showing signs of concussion following a blow to the back of his head in the first half at Ayr. It seems to have been a delayed reaction to a chaĺlenge the ref missed at the time. (Reported in the Courier).

Was going to say that in my opinion as good as Oyirwoth has been since he came in that maybe it’s time for Gilmour to start. It’s going to be a battle ( all games in this league are ) in our next two games against Meadowbank and Plastic.
Looks like that maybe be the case now.
Bray starts for me over McLeod too.

I do think gilmour probably does deserve a chance again but seeing his performances this season so far seems like he’ll be a great player off the bench when we are leading and to break the game up I do think corbally or bray will start of oyirwoth doesn’t

At this stage in his career and with his injury issues I can only see Chris Kane coming on as a sub and playing 20-30 minutes in a game at most. I think we are building a team that if they take their chances should be winning most games without a last ditch effort needed by bringing Chris on. Different story last year, not so much this year I would hope.

Chris Kane is fit again but may not make the squad because of competition for places. There`s no mention of Rudden being injured despite missing Tuesday`s game.
Robinson and Turley are still gaining fitness and SCH may be out until Christmas even if he doesn`t need surgery.

I wouldn`t keep either Kane or Rudden. Kane reverted to type after getting a new deal, and Rudden isn`t fit or good enough to get us to where we want to be.

`Kane reverted to type after getting a new deal,...`
What a strange take, as if the player `chose` when he was injured and when we was not. That`s the sort of comment about a player that is completely out of order when fans don`t know the full details about a player`s injury and attitude. Anytime I`ve heard him talk about his injuries he`s been as frustrated as anyone by the situation. In fact, there was a period when it seemed he was annoyed he wasn`t getting more game time than NL was giving him.

It’s obvious he means that as soon as his contract was signed, he got injured again. Considering he’s injured a lot, it’s an easy observation to make and while he’s injured, he’s useless.

Kane only missed two games from January until the end of last season and he was offered a new deal.
So far this season, he has managed only one appearance of more than 45 minutes, along with two cameo appearances of fewer than 10 minutes, and he has missed the last three games.
We’re going to need everyone in the squad to be fit and available if we’re going to go the distance in this league. We simply can’t rely on Kane being fit enough or available often enough to make a difference.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Kane was signed as an option not to rely on. Ollie Shaw needs to step up and start showing more. He was signed as the main striker.

I get that, but there’s an argument that Kane is our best striker. We’ve struggled to score goals, and he’s been AWOL. Was he worth giving him a new deal? So far, the answer has to be no.

You may well be right, BP, but it was the wording `Kane reverted to type after getting a new deal`, which seemed to suggest some sort of deceit by the player, which annoyed some of us. It cast doubt on the integrity of the player and maybe even the competence of our medical staff. Sackthere69 didn`t address this in his first response to our comments and still hasn't.

After Kanes initial loan period , some on here mentioned he may be injury prone, some on here shouted those posters down , but unfortunately it would seem his injury record has shown ,maybe he should not have been signed .

We finished 6th and 7th in the seasons before last. We might not have stayed in the championship without his goals and assists...

He has missed more games this month than he did in the final six months of last season. Every Saturday, we`re left checking to see whether his name appears on the team sheet or disappears from it.

In the league this year, he has been on the pitch for 160 minutes.
In that time we have scored 3 goals.
Across 10 games (assume 900 minutes) we have scored 8 goals.
I think we are way more potent with him on the park for quite a few reasons.
