Name a worse striker that’s played for us? He’s got to be up there.

just think if he was the best option they could find, how bad were the others being considered?
questions have to be asked about the people involved in the recruitment side.

Just to be controversial, I actually sort of enjoy watching him bumble about. But, for sure, he`s never going to score a goal for the Pars.

Remember the first transfer window we had under the management where we signed like 9 players in Jan and only mullan was any where near good enough?
Why did Lenny sign shaw? Why did he keep Kane? Are we now hoping a player who didn’t score a league goal for us last season can start banging them in?
Some of these players like shaw and Morrison are not youngsters and will be on excellent money and yet make little to no impact in games.
Corbally is 23 in a few months and we paid a decent fee but has not kicked a ball yet.
How many match winners do we actually have in the team?

His first instinct is to always pass. Could do with a goal for confidence maybe kick start him. He is not a lone striker. He would be good along side Kane.

To be fair, he was playing Czech third tier before coming to us. Having watched Czech top tier in the summer, we could have dispatched those sides even with how shabby we are. Think he is a longer term project player. Which is then weird why Shaw doesn’t start.

He has a few positive moments early one, but is a one trick Pony with the flicks/dummy and run approach he has. After 20 mins defender has him figured out.And he is one footed..why didnt he hita shot when he got througb?

Always trying something too fancy, first touch is often too heavy then choosing to pass instead of side footing the ball to either side of the keeper from 6 yards out. I’ve no idea what distance he is wanting to score from. Is he wanting to dribble the ball over the goal line. So frustrating watching him. Hopefully Ollie Thomas can be the one to bag us a goal and get this season kick started.

I also think its confidence, but he ran out of legs when he was clean through.

It’s not his instinct: His first touch is always a pass because his control is so bad. The boy couldn’t trap a bag of cement.

Ive only watched him once vs raith thougjt he was decent. I couldn’t comment on his performances since but i find it hard to judge out scouting system, it’s sourced some great players and maybe some not so great players but thats par for the course, how much ***** have we signed in the past? Plenty. Theyre going for young players with high potential, it’s gonna work sometimes and others not so much.

Runs about like a headless chicken…1 on 1 with the keeper in the 2nd half and squares the ball to the Livi defender.
He doesn’t need another player up top to help….he needs to be sitting on the bench from the start v Partick.

Macleod arguably even worse, Cooper back in the form of why he is an "impact sub" too.

Do you think we’re a good team?
Our recruitment in the last year or 2 since the club was sold is shocking and should be questioned. The amount of players we’ve signed who aren’t close to the level required is scandalous.

Groundhog Day to what? Apart from last season it’s been murder to watch for years. This season the main problem is the same as we’ve had for years …..Dunfermline nil is back.
Yet again we’re sitting here hoping Kane is fit again.
We appear to have fallen into the trap of signing players like Morrison, shaw and Corbally etc without thinking about whether they actually fit into how we want to play. Good example is last year we signed Kearney and this year another teams player is keeping him out the team how is that developing our own youngsters?

We’ve signed far more good players than bad in the last two years. Nuri, Fraser, Oxborough and Amade are light years ahead of any signing in the last 10 seasons.

To me, he doesn`t look like a professional football player at this level. I`m very surprised Lennon is starting him every week. Is he being told to? Is there something we should be worried about when such an inept player is seemingly first pick up front?
The team we signed him from, SK Dynamo České Budějovice, are owned by a Nigerian "businesswoman" who was supposedly representing an international investment consortium, but it doesn`t seem clear who is behind that, and the club has dropped from the first division to the third tier since she took over.

Interesting red star….although Lennon played wanyama so has previous for putting players on the pitch who shouldn’t be there.
What would be the point in playing him? He ain’t going to be scouted and sold for a profit….

Still think Cooper is an impact sub. Would play Gilmour in Midfield and certainly Bray should start.

its the change of system and not having the options for it, him and a not fit yet Thomas are the only ones suitable for it.
thats what happens when you decide to rip up everything after 7 games in to the season when signings have been made for plan A and even then some of those are questionable for that.

Yes because Kevin Nisbet, Nicky Clark, Josh Edwards were terrible signings. All better than any you list…..

It doesn`t matter who starts up front, all of our strikers are missing sitters. We brought Shaw on, and his performance shows exactly why he finds himself on the bench.
We need to start converting chances, even Stevie Wonder could tell you that. But it`s another decent performance with some really good chances created. Raith and Stenny drawing helps us slightly, too.
No need to panic just yet. Just because the strikers have missed a few chances doesn`t mean they`re garbage. If there was a 15–20 goals a season striker available, he wouldn`t be playing for Dunfermline.
SCH will be a massive loss. Hopefully, it`s not as bad as it looked when he hobbled off.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

I certainly wouldn’t call all of our signings “shocking” - how many have had international call ups?
Some have worked out extremely well, some have been good, some been average, some been poor, some been a waste of time/money. Thats pretty standard for a club our size.
Whats more worrying is that Lennon cant get a tune out of them up top. Defensively we seem very good.

It`s amazing Tod can`t cut it at Championship level but two different managers have considered him good enough for the Scotland under-21 squad, playing with guys attached to clubs who mostly play at a higher level than him.
Today he had the handicap of playing virtually the full game with a yellow card against his name knowing that an inconsistent ref could send him off for the slightest indiscretion. But I do think he`s less effective playing as a wide player than as a support to the main striker through the middle.
