Michael Cohe, Trump's long time lawyer will be going to prison for four to five years after taking a plea bargain. As part of the plea he has stated that at direction of the candidate he violated several electoral campaign finance laws. He has just implicated the President of the United States in breaking federal laws.

Let Mueller complete his investigation. The man is playing a blinder; there have been no leaks and that is driving the president mad (literally, by the look of things).
The result is that Trump and his cohorts have progressively dug themselves deeper holes by careless talk and tweets. They are getting tied up in knots by their own lies. Trump and his reducing band of supporters will doubtless continue their diversionary tactics (see shakey's links above), but the longer this goes on, the tighter the noose around his neck will get.
Come Christmas we will have a much better picture of what is likely to transpire, especially if the Democrats do well in the mid-terms, but I don't think he will get impeached.
Instead, I suspect the pressure will eventually get to him and he will do a deal with the prosecutor that sees him get immunity in exchange for his resignation so as to protect his business interests.
From that point on, some 30% of the US population will helpfully provide a huge customer base for the growth of the Trump fortune. To them, he will be a martyr, a victim of the "Deep State". He will forever be a hero.

This seems to be a significant development. Again in it reminiscent of Watergate (although the circumstances are vastly different) - a series of only loosely connected indictments, as the net tightens.
I'm not sure how easily Trump can fire Mueller without precipitating a constitutional crisis. Even then, I'm not sure whether Trump knows or cares what a constitutional crisis would look like, or whether elected Republicans are particularly bothered either.
One problem is many people don't care if Trump colluded with the Russians or not - they got the right result and the end justifies the means in their eyes. If Trump went on TV tomorrow and admitted to having been in the pay of the Kremlin for the last 40 years, all you would hear is people chanting "lock her up".
Nevertheless, I don't think he is gaining support - it must be ebbing, and when he has outlived his usefulness, the knives will be sharpened. I agree with TOWK and Oz that the mid-terms will be significant.
As for Trump himself, he seems to be an odious individual and a man of dubious ethics (and limited intellect). In those circumstances you don't need to look at conspiracy theory junk to form an opinion that his policies may be misguided (and regardless of his personality, his isolationist and protectionist stances may lead to trouble). One area of success may be his Foreign Policy on North Korea, but I think the jury may be out on that. I fear the term "loose cannon" is quite appropriate in these circumstances, and hence he is quite likely to fire in the wrong direction at the wrong time.

Trump has now been named in Court as an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal case to defraud the American voters and win the last election. No matter which way you look at it, that is an enormous charge.
I am stunned by how silent the Democrats have been on the issue. Had the same charge been directed at Obama or Clinton, it would have had Republicans screaming for impeachment and worse and doubtless with encouragement from Fox News, Breitbart, QAnon and Alex Jones we most probably would be seeing violence spill out on to the streets.
We should not forget that this is all quite peripheral to the Mueller investigation. It has come about as a result of the Stormy Daniels case, not the Russia inquiry.
Sooner or later, Mueller's discoveries will shine light on the Russian matters, on Trump's business and financial affairs, the money laundering claims, etc. When these become public - and they will - they are bound to make what has been revealed so far pale by comparison. It is already clear by the sheer breadth and volume of the material that is being seen to be gathered that evidence abounds.
It is reassuring to know that despite the obvious chaos in the White House, the US does have checks and balances in its system. As a result, we all can see that the clock is determinedly ticking down on Trump's fraudulent presidency.

The president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. Thats why the case in New York is significant, because he CAN be charged with a state crime. The 2 recent immunity deals of his chief finance officer and David Pecker are huge developments, as they know where all the bodies are buried. You have to also remember that Trump used John Gotti a lot for union stuff, he has skeletons that we cannot even imagine.
Only 13% of new yorkers voted for trump, which is significant. This is a guy who represents new york, but is despised by most people there because they know all about him.

<<McCain died one day after informing the msm that he was stopping meds for his brain cancer.>>
I just can't bring myself to copy and paste the utterly disgusting nonsense in the remainder of your post, Shakey, but suffice to say that it sickens me to the core that someone would even dream up such bilge water.
If you have had any experience of caring for someone who has a terminal illness then you would be well aware that there is a point at which doctors tell you that nothing more can be done and to just let the patient go peacefully without further medical intervention. It happens every minute of every day somewhere in the world.
To suggest that this was all just a ruse to take a man in his eighties, who was clearly very ill (he had the scars on his head to prove it), to imprisonment in Guantanamo is not just insane, it is evil.
Obviously, we do not agree on political matters, but I would ask you to be far more discriminating in what you choose to post on here.

McCain's funeral was 3 days ago.
McCain died 13 days ago.
It's absolutely clear Kasich means to say "laid to rest, less than 24 hours ago" but simply misspoke.
If McCain had been "put to death" it certainly never happened less than 24 hours before.
What did happen less than 24 hours before was the funeral.

Things could get interesting on the USD front as Juncker started pushing for more transactions to be denominated in Euros across the EU in his recent speech.
If the EU, Russia and China all started putting pressure on the Dollar as the defacto currency of business and reserve currency, the US economy could come under a fair bit of pressure.

Of course there is. It's why anyone who has moved away or tried to move away from using the USD has ended up being called a "Rogue State" and invariably got bombed at some point. The US use their currency to flex economic dominance.
If you're driving at the fact banks will lend to Governments on both sides to keep wars going then I'd agree to an extent but the competing sides are all acting in their own interests.
There are plenty of folk going down and they're all linked to Trump.

The EU army is designed to reduce reliance on NATO and if they do push ahead with attempts to enforce the Euro to the Dollar's detriment there's going to be a bit of beef.

How Chinese is that? Or indeed British?
I think China wants to be a superpower. For that it needs a navy, and it needs its navy to have access to the seas. (Russia has long had problems in this area). It also wants border security.
It wants Tibet partly to stop the Indians from having it (or anyone else) and partly to control the major river sources which emanate from there.

It's nothing more than a college "secret society" in that they try to keep the members names etc from the public.
Not very successfully either since there is a list of names who were members.
There are liberally thousands of these college secret societies across America.
Both George Bushes were members of Skull and Bones another Secret Society at Yale.
Yet these right wing conspiracy theory nutjobs are not making a big deal of that.

Meet Judge Kavanaugh, the man the deep state and corrupt Dems/Rhinos fear being confirmed to the highest court in the USA. These scumbags lose control if he gets confirmed. Watch the circus and understand what's happening then go read some "Q conspiracy theory" until you realise its not actually a theory but fact. Wake up sheeple!

Are you a libtard mate? We'll see who is deluded......
When you use a term like libtard we can see clearly what your position is.
You claim not to be left or right wing but library is a term used by the "alt right" or fascists as they were referred to back in the day until they tried to rent and themselves.
You look at the evidence you present here with a pre existing bias. Everyone else looks at it with a sceptical mind and sees it for the complete b.s. it is.

There are now 3 women who have come forward with stories of sexual assalt/misconduct against him.
The "libtards" must be so organised to plant these women in his youth so they could so they could mess with Trump decades later.
Or maybe he is a serial sex offender.

Yes but none of these women came forward until just before he was about to become a Supreme Court judge. It wasn't as if he was a nobody until now. He was a respected and prominent judge.
Unless proof can be obtained that would satisfy a criminal or civil court then Kavanaugh must surely be appointed. If accusations alone can be enough to destroy a person's career then we are entering dangerous times.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Not coming forward until now could be a problem. However, there have been a lot of this happening recently. The current climate is more conducive to people coming forward.

Politics as usual.Fienstein held back the information until the most opportune time. She doesn't give two hoots about Ford, just a nice possibility to demand an FBI investigation, win the senate and never confirm Kavanaugh.
Roe v Wade hangs in the balance.Big stakes.

Moviescot, I don't know how much evidence would satisfy me. In these circumstances I like to think how much evidence would I like to see presented against me before my reputation and maybe life was ripped apart.
As for Kavanaugh, how much evidence would satisfy you that he was guilty?

https://youtu.be/3_gmOsnjrZw
Afghanistan submitted 1.17 million claims of war crimes committed in the conflict there to the UN back in February.
The UN have not ruled out prosecutions of US soldiers for these war crimes.
Only last week Trump was saying he would oppose any prosecutions.
That's what this line of questioning is about. Nothing to do with any of your tin foil hat nonsense.

Yep,I believe the (R) will do well in the mid-terms,apart from Trump's style and bluster he has done well in his first 2 years.
If you assess what the (D) are offering, more obstruction and very little policy tripled with no clear leadership,it's a long road ahead for them regardless the polishing of the MSM.
Trump keeps padding most Americans retirement accounts, that's a tough combination to beat.

There is such a polarisation of viewpoints in America today that I fear the inevitable outcome is going to be a civil war of some description in the States.
Such is the hatred - yes, hatred is the appropriate word - that no matter who wins elections from here on in, there will be acute anger and frustration on the losing side and inevitably the means they choose to vent it will be through violence.
Had Trump lost in November 2016, do you think his supporters would have gone quietly? Do you think Trump would have accepted the result? He had already indicated in the last presidential debate that he wouldn't. It was a stark warning of what is to come.
Of course, since that fateful election, social media and a highly politicised MSM have continued to fuel the angst, indeed accelerate its intensity to the point where mass violence, even insurgency, become strong possibilities. After that? A state of emergency and draconian powers that even Orwell would have struggled to foresee.
Algorithms placed throughout the internet ensure that increasingly we find ourselves in cul de sacs of information filtered to best suit our individual tastes and beliefs. That might be fine if your interests include Dunfermline Athletic or hillwalking or fishing or such like, for you will probably enjoy a rich experience when you do a Google or YouTube search. However, the moment you cross into politics on the internet the experience becomes a very different one.
It is difficult to avoid exposure to some of the more extreme viewpoints on either side of politics as the search engine determines your left or right of centre bias. More worrying still is the fact that the filter will almost certainly ensure that you don't get exposure to the extremes opposing your position.
Hence, the surprise of so many on the Democrats' side when folk appeared at a Trump rally in Miami wearing t-shirts with "Q" or "QAnon" emblazoned on them. They simply didn't have a clue what this was all about. Similarly, Republicans found themselves surprised and not a little confused when confronted by Antifa protesters at their political rallies.
QAnon and Antifa are basically two sides of the same coin. They both are populated by troubled individuals prone to manipulation.
It is almost inevitable that they will be willing foot soldiers in the coming storm. And it is equally inevitable that they will, too late, realise that they have been taken for a ride by the people they thought they were fighting against.

It certainly doesn't help either when you have a sitting democrat congresswoman Maxine Waters tells a crowd"Confront them, make a crowd and tell them they are not welcome"
That's exactly what they did.Organised mobs now turn up at restaurants, homes etc of Republican politicians and make a a scene. It's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed.
When a so called leader calls for that action and isn't rebuked for it,you are correct civil war isn't far off.

A mental conflict occurs when beliefs are contradicted by new information. This conflict activates areas of the brain involved in personal identity and emotional response to threats. The brains alarm's go off when a person feels threatened on a deeply personal and emotional level, causing them to shut down and completely disregard and rational evidence that contradicts what they previously regarded as "truth".''
