I'm not sure if this should be here or on the Politics Forum but George Galloway has been sacked by Talk Radio for a tweet he made after the Champions' League Final. He congratulated Liverpool and added something like 'No Israeli flags on the Cup'.

Precisely none would seem to be the answer. At that time accusing a left wing opponent of corruption was the done thing, like claiming Scargill was stealing union funds to pay his mortgage. None of it was true but had a smearing effect. Nowadays sexual indiscretions are the order of the day, as with Assange. From what little I have heard of Galloway, maybe he was lucky to be accused of corruption.
Galloway is a very good political debater, which infuriates the Oxbridge crowd since he did not attend university yet can make them look silly at times. His problem is, rather like his buddy Nigel Farage, he has nothing to say outside of politics. If he sees a child playing on a swing then he starts mouthing off about foreign policy in Syria; if he sees a man catching a fish then it sparks a rant about American imperialism; if he sees Liverpool win a cup then it is a slap in the face to Zionism. He’s an obsessive, which makes him a good political commentator but a dull man. Could you imagine him telling a joke in which he laughed at himself?

Galloway is a charaltan. He was at one time effective when it seemed his integrity was intact but his hypocrisy has been exposed in recent years.
In 2014 he took the stage saying he would campaign to stay in the EU as he wanted to damage the Indy campaign.
He's now sharing a stage with Farage and Bannon, the far right activist and vehemently anti EU.
How can anyone claiming integrity go from A to B without explanation?
How could a socialist endorse someone like Farage who would dismantle the NHS in favour of the American system?
Shyster springs to mind and an opportunist.

Just watched his full interview on GMB. Probably just as well Alan Sugar was at home and not in the studio with him or I reckon they'd have come to blows.
He can butter things up whichever way he wants, but Galloway is basically just a bigot and an absolute crackpot to boot.

He can be both a critic of Israel and a bigot at the same time - the two aren't inherently linked.

I don't think anybody sane has tried to claim that he was, have they?
I mean it's not even that fine a line between the two imo - criticising a government's policies is fine, criticising the nation itself, or its people as a whole, is not. Supporting the enemy of a country is fine (they definitely won't like it, but ignore them, it's fine), demonising that country's people is not.
