Not according to this rather charming SNP councillor.
Perhaps if she hadn't now deleted her Twitter account somebody could have said that the Tourism industry is worth £11bn to Scotland and may well be needed to plug the financial black hole if her wish of Independence comes to fruition.

Financial blackhole? Been suckered in by project fear I see.
And although my eyes were open

CDF now:
"may well be needed to plug the financial black hole if her wish of Independence comes to fruition."
CDF minutes earlier:
"Simple answer is yes although again perhaps not as bad as some of the worst doom mongers would have you believe."
🤔🤔🤔

So nothing to say about the councillor's comments then ?
You'd be frothing at the mouth if a Tory had said it, let's be honest ;)

Sure but I'd have to read the whole tweet exchange you understand as I think context is rather important.

What was the context of her comment? Replying to DJ Liz Kershaw?

If you're on the twittersphere have a look at Liz Kershaw as it was her she was replying to.
Unfortunately the cowardly councillor seems to have deleted her account. Can't think why.

Ah Liz Kershaw who made a snidey comment about the First Minister because she didn't give a warm cuddle to known womaniser, racist and xenophobic Boris Johnson.

No but she did give "suspected" murderer Martin McGuiness a very warm welcome by comparison.
Putting her personal differences aside, she could have acted more statesman like when the PM visited
Anyway, this isn't about a "snide" remark from a once famous DJ. This is about an SNP councillor telling people not to come to Scotland for their holidays so... Back on topic if you will ;)

The Queen gave Martin McGuinness a friendly welcome too if I recall. I can't be bothered with all this 'whataboutery' to be honest.

Yep she is an idiot. Councillors often are and sometimes even worse than that. Google 'tory councillor jailed' and you'd get my point.

TOWK you are one of the more reasonable posters on here for sure. Just find it laughable that none of the SNP mob will even dare say a word against the party.
Countless Tory councillors, members and, yes, MPs I would class as absolute scumbags and as a Tory (albeit recently converted to Brexit Party) I have no hesitation in saying that at all.

Like you say all parties have their idiots. The problem that the snp have is that because they are likely to be the dominant party in Scotland for the foreseeable future they will also be an attractive destination for ambitious idiots. Unfortunately by prattling on about colonialism she'll ingratiating herself with some of the membership who get to select candidates. It's much like why we have Johnson as prime minister now. If his past performances in cabinet were anything to go by he'd be nowhere near number 10 but he said the right sort of things to the right sort of people.

Kind of mutant that seems to get council seats for most parties.
